Combining advanced technology and materials with the analog platform of the Porsche 993 generation, the Porsche 911 Remastered by Gunther Werks is one of the most comprehensively revised 911s ever built. Each bespoke car is crafted by hand in Huntington Beach, California, showcasing full carbon fiber bodywork, DGR computer-controlled active coilover suspension, Brembo brakes, an enhanced 6-speed manual transaxle, and a custom 4.0-liter flat-six engine by Rothsport Road and Race. Paying homage to one of the most legendary 911 variants, the Gunther Werks Speedster model offers a visceral, open-air driving experience with its striking roofless design and shortened windscreen. This 911 was the first customer-delivered Gunther Werks Speedster out of a limited production run of 25 examples. Codenamed “Gin Tree”, the car is finished in a custom shade inspired by Porsche’s Oak Green Metallic color over green leather and Alcantara upholstery. It was specified with optional 18” forged magnesium and carbon fiber wheels, a carbon fiber ducktail spoiler, yellow seatbelts, special launch edition badging, and a unique rose gold tachometer bezel. Completed in October 2022 and delivered to its owner in Texas with just over 1k miles driven since, this remastered 911 Speedster is now being offered for auction.
Beginning with a 1995 Porsche 993 Carrera 2 Cabriolet donor car, the chassis was completely restored and revamped by Gunther Werks, providing twice the structural rigidity of a standard 993 Carrera Coupe. The full carbon fiber bodywork was finished in a custom "Gin Tree Green" shade inspired by Porsche’s Oak Green Metallic color. It features a low-profile carbon fiber windscreen frame, nickel-finished billet mirrors and door handles, dual carbon fiber roll hoops with opening rear fairings, an optional carbon fiber ducktail rear spoiler, bi-LED headlights with milled aluminum housings, LED taillights and turn signals, honeycomb mesh grilles, green side stripes with yellow Porsche script, yellow Brembo brake calipers, and dual center-mounted 935-style tailpipes. The car rides on dark grey-finished Gunther Werks 18” forged magnesium and carbon fiber two-piece wheels with billet aluminum center caps and titanium hardware. The seller notes the exterior is in excellent overall condition, apart from a few scratches on the front lip spoiler. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The bespoke two-seater cockpit features green leather and Alcantara upholstery with yellow accents, milled aluminum touchpoints, and aerospace-grade German carpets. Accessories include a carbon fiber dashboard and door panels, carbon fiber bucket seats, yellow seatbelts, carbon fiber door sills, an Alcantara-wrapped carbon fiber steering wheel, a milled aluminum shifter, forged aluminum slotted pedals and kick panels, revised gauge dials, a one-off rose gold tachometer bezel, air conditioning, and a Porsche Classic (PCCM) head unit.
The car’s original 3.6-liter flat-six engine was sent to Rothsport Road and Race of Sherwood, Oregon, and rebuilt to custom 4.0-liter specifications. Rated at 430 HP and 330 lb-ft of torque, it features Mahle pistons, a billet crankshaft, forged connecting rods, coil-on-plug ignition, a GT3 intake plenum, individual throttle bodies, equal-length stainless-steel headers, and a two-stage MoTeC engine management system with custom tuning. The rear wheels are driven through a revised Getrag G50 6-speed manual transaxle with custom gear ratios, a single-mass flywheel, an upgraded single-plate clutch, and a carbon clutch limited-slip differential. The chassis features a widened race-spec front track, bespoke DGR computer-controlled active coilover suspension, uprated anti-roll bars, a hydraulic nose lift system, bespoke suspension arms, and a front strut brace. Stopping power comes from Brembo GTR 6-piston front and 4-piston rear brake calipers with slotted discs and braided lines. The seller indicates the car has been maintained exclusively by Gunther Werks.
This sale will include a car cover, a battery charger, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This is an opportunity to own one of the sold-out 25 Gunther Werks speeders made. During its commission, it was loaded with options and carefully looked over by Peter Nam during the build process. This car, being the launch edition, received a few special details to make it different than the others. Code name Gin Tree, this was the first customer-delivered speedster that was given the Launch edition package, which consisted of special badging and a rose gold gauge bezel. It’s an amazing machine that will put a smile on your face every time you get behind the wheel!”

I've had the privilege of seeing this car several times in person and speak with the owner. It is truly a masterpiece and everything you'd expect it to be - it's spectacular!
Wow, this is incredible. What a cool build. GLWTA!
A beautiful toy that is outside of my price range. The over-engineered little storage cubbies under the speedster humps are hilarious, practically pointless, and somehow impressive at the same time.
Here is that latest video put together by Hagerty that shows the GW facility and build process.
