This 1995 Porsche 993 Carrera Cabriolet was factory specified in rare Paint to Sample Amethyst Metallic over a Classic Grey interior featuring Porsche-script cloth seat centers and a rear seat delete. Pairing a 6-speed manual transmission with its air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine, this example was originally delivered in Colorado and remained with its first owner until 2012, when it was purchased by the second owner, who subsequently relocated to Tennessee. Strictly garage-stored, this exceptionally unique 993 Carrera Cabriolet is now being offered for auction by the selling dealer with approximately 59k miles showing on the odometer.
This 993 was ordered in the uncommon shade of Amethyst Metallic through Porsche’s Paint to Sample program. Equipment includes a Classic Grey retractable soft top, a matching boot cover, a raised third brake light, black brake calipers, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and upgraded 17” Cup 2 wheels dressed in Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires from 2021, showing 9/32” of tread depth. The factory 16" Cup wheels will accompany the sale. Since the seller’s acquisition in August 2025, a full paint correction and ceramic coating were performed, the front bumper was refinished to address cosmetic imperfections, and the fog lights were replaced. The seller notes some minor blemishes, predominantly located near the wheel arches. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The Classic Grey interior features optional Porsche-script cloth seats and a rear storage shelf in place of the rear seats. Accessories include power seats, power windows, heated & power side mirrors, a leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel, cruise control, and an AM/FM cassette radio. New OEM grey floor mats were recently fitted, and the seller states very slight wear is present considering the vehicle’s age.
Power is derived from an air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine factory-rated at 272 HP. The rear wheels are driven through a 6-speed manual transmission, and stopping is provided by ventilated disc brakes with an Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS). Service performed within the last few years has included an oil change, replacement of the fuel pressure regulator, replacement of a window switch, and refreshing the power-operated top.
This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a toolkit, a spare tire, an air pump, and the factory 16" Cup wheels.

From the engine to the steering, everything is so tight and smooth. Crisp and effortless gear changes in all gears. Clearly, it has never been abused or mistreated. Both previous owners loved the car very much. The color combo is pure '90s perfection. The cloth seats are very comfortable and stay much cooler in the sun compared to leather. @1974gtv by the looks of it, I’d say the compressor was replaced with a proper R134a unit. I’ll take a closer look for a part number later today.
What type of a/c conversion to R134A was done? Was the original compressor retrofitted or replaced?

The AC Blows Ice Cold.
Yes, it has been converted to R134A. I have attached a picture with the R134A sticker on the compressor.
The DOT for the front tires is 31st week of 2021 and for the rears its 48th week of 2021. Pics added

I have attached photos of the maintenance book with some service stamps
I have added photos showing the lower rockers in front of the back tires, and a few other small areas with either a chip or light scratch. Hard to photo and all extremely minor.

@Nichemotors Yes, I sure do! Bought it on BaT earlier this year and have been making it as perfect as it can be. It's the only one I've ever seen in person and also has a platinum gray interior. The only other one I know if was a Cayenne turbo that I almost bought but wasn't fast enough to decide on it before it was sold.
@jumiss It does not have the "Drive Block" system which was optional in 1995 and standard starting in 1996 so I'm being told it does not have the immobilizer. Both keys pictured are the 2 original keys from new. Thanks.

Wow, what a cool car! I am so tempted to bring it back to its original home state and park it next to my Amethyst Metallic Cayenne S. I’m guessing it would be the only pair in existence! The cayenne’s Amethyst is darker though, and based on the Rennbow information there are two versions of this color.
