Representing the culmination of Porsche’s air-cooled 911 lineage, this 1995 Porsche 993 Carrera 4 Cabriolet pairs a 6-speed manual transmission with its 3.6-liter flat-six engine. Finished in Black over a Cashmere interior, it was meticulously maintained by a single owner before being acquired by their spouse. This garage-stored open-top Carrera 4 is now being offered for auction on behalf of the seller out of Wisconsin.
The exterior is finished in Black (A1) and features a replacement convertible soft top installed in 2022. Equipment includes a speed-activated rear spoiler, a distinctive “basket handle” fixed rear spoiler with an integrated third brake light, fog lights, and dual exhaust outlets. The car rides on 17” Cup 2 wheels mounted with Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 tires from 2021 and 2022, showing approximately 9/32” of tread at the front and 8/32” at the rear. The seller states that the recently removed genuine Porsche hood protector was in place since new, and a single-stage buff was performed in preparation for the sale. Very minor imperfections are noted. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The Cashmere and Black partial leather interior features the optional Power Seat Package and Cashmere Porsche-lettered floor mats. Other amenities include power and heated side mirrors, automatic speed control, and central locking. A small switch for a radar detector is installed, and the dashboard is noted to be free of cracks, though minor wear is present on the driver’s seat bolster. Additionally, the air conditioning system is confirmed to be in proper working order. The seller states the radio does not produce sound, the odometer reportedly stopped functioning around 2015, and the odometer gears were replaced in preparation for the sale.
This 993 is powered by an air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine rated at 272 HP and 243 lb-ft of torque, sent to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Recent maintenance includes a replacement of the left rear axle in 2022, valve cover resealing performed by a Porsche dealer in 2023, and the installation of a new Bosch starter unit in preparation for the sale.
This sale will include a clean title, owner's manuals, a window sticker, a toolkit, a spare tire, and an additional set of wheels.
The seller would like you to know: "The seller's late husband babied this car, and it was garage-kept its whole life. The paint is truly exceptional, owing in large part to the hood bra that he installed when the car was new. They had years of excellent memories in this vehicle, and she hopes that its next family enjoys many adventures with this car."

@TheGerman You are correct that the odometer stopped working, likely around 2015 according to carfax service records. However, the owner suspects it hasn't traveled more than a few thousand miles over the last ten years.
The vehicle was kept at the family cabin "up north," and was driven infrequently. Additionally, by 2015, the owner's late husband (the vehicle's primary driver, who had purchased the car new) had fallen ill with the disease that would later take his life. I obviously cannot disclose any sensitive medical data, but I can assure you that the vehicle has not seen significant mileage over the last decade.
Am I right that nobody knows how many mls this car drove since 2015?
@em4bartz Additional photos have been added highlighting the boot cover. It is slightly creased from long-term storage.
Additional content has been added to the gallery for this listing.
Does this car have one? It is not shown. Thank you.
@em4bartz These fasteners are present to hold a "boot cover" over the retracted top. You can see something similar on this listing for a replacement convertible top: https://www.germanautotops.com/product/porsche-993-95-98-burgundy-sonnendecke-w-plastic-window/
Why the Tenax fasteners around the top?

Hello potential bidders!! My name is Louis Hardin, and I own Edelweiss Autowerks, a Porsche-focused shop in Madison, WI. We have a *heck* of a nice car for you this time around. The team and I will be sad to see this one go - it feels a bit like rehoming a particularly adorable foster puppy.
The car is at our facility, and I am happy to get pictures/video of anything you would like to see in greater detail. Good luck, and happy bidding!!
