Ferrari’s premier mid-engine sports car from 1994 until 1999, the F355 wears Pininfarina-designed bodywork over a steel monocoque chassis which includes an electronically adjustable suspension, a limited-slip differential, and a 3.5-liter quad-cam V8 with 5 valves per cylinder. Finished in Rosso Metallizzato over Beige Connolly leather upholstery, this 1995 example features a coveted 6-speed gated manual transmission. It was purchased by the seller in 2017 and has been driven less than 1k miles since while undergoing major services including timing belt and engine seal replacements. Showing just over 22k miles on the odometer, this gated 6-speed F355 Spider is now being offered for auction out of Rhode Island.
The first Ferrari to feature a power convertible top, the F355 Spider’s bodywork was painstakingly adapted from the Berlinetta version using 1,800 hours of wind tunnel to maximize aerodynamics. This example is finished in the uncommon color of Rosso Metallizzato (311) with a black convertible top and tan boot cover. Equipment includes pop-up headlamps, fog lights, side air intakes, rocker panel scoops, a vented engine cover, and quad exhaust tips. The front bumper shows some rocks chips and scratches on the underside, touched-up scratches are present around the exterior, and some wear is visible on the convertible top. The cabin is appointed with Beige Connolly leather upholstery complemented by matching carpets and door panels with a contrasting black leather dashboard and four-spoke steering wheel. Accessories include adjustable bucket seats, drilled aluminum pedals, a polished gated aluminum shifter, power windows and mirrors, air conditioning, central locking doors, analog Veglia Borletti instrument dials, and an aftermarket Alpine stereo and amplifier. The seller notes the plastic finish on the driver’s door card is deteriorating and some wear is present on the driver’s seat bolster, door sills, and center console trim.
The mid-mounted Tipo F129 B/C 3.5-liter DOHC V8 features a 5-valve cylinder head, titanium connecting rods, and dry-sump lubrication. Up to 375 HP and 275 lb.-ft of torque is sent to the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential. The car comes standard with an electronically adjustable suspension and has been upgraded with an aftermarket Tubi-style exhaust system, braided fuel lines, and a Hill Engineering clutch release bearing kit. The original exhaust is said to accompany the sale. An engine-out service in 2020 included a new timing belt, tensioner, camshaft seals, cam cover gaskets, spark plugs, accessory belts, a fuel filter, air filter, and fluids. The oil, brake fluid, and traction control ECU were replaced in 2023. Most recently in April 2024, the fuel divider block recall campaign was performed, the convertible tension straps were replaced, and the seat motors were initialized. The seller notes there has been no recent compression test performed.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, service records, a toolkit, a car cover, a battery charger, the original exhaust system, and a clean title.

Dark filter on the Camera lens doesn't help show that paint color at all.
