Available for auction is this 1995 BMW E36 M3 Coupe finished in Avus Blue (276) over a black Nappa leather interior. This second-generation example represents the first model year the E36 M3 was available in North America. Sold new in Connecticut without a sunroof and equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission, this M3 was acquired by Eric Keller of Enthusiast Auto Group before it was sold to the current owner in 2011. Showing just over 43k miles, this M3 is now being offered for auction out of California.
Finished in Avus Blue, this E36 M3 features flared side skirts, aerodynamic M mirrors, and model-specific 17" double-spoke wheels wrapped in Dunlop tires. The seller notes paint chips on the forward-facing surfaces of the vehicle and some pitting on the windshield. Other imperfections issues include a cracked fog light and stone chips on the rear fender arch. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, this M3 exhibits a black Nappa leather interior with desirable "Vader" sports seats. Amenities include automatic climate control, power windows and locks, an onboard computer, and a leather-wrapped M Sport steering wheel. An M-branded instrument cluster shows a 160-MPH speedometer, an 8k-RPM tachometer, a fuel gauge, an engine-temperature gauge, and more. The seller notes minor scuffs on the rear seat cushion, slightly worn floormats, and separation of the passenger door panel glue near the map pocket.
The 1995 E36 M3 received a 3.0-liter inline-six producing up to 240 HP and 225 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are powered via a 5-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The CARFAX report shows regular maintenance as well as recent services in January, March, and October 2022.
The sale of this E36 M3 will include a clean title and owner's manuals.

Very handsome E36 M3, in one of the best factory colors, too. I'm not casting shade on my Hellrot '95 at all, as I don't intend to let that go anytime soon, but this shade of blue really compliments the lines of these cars, IMO. I WOULD like to trade odometers with this car, though! :-) Glad to see bidding has risen to respectable levels, too!

What a gorgeous spec! Great color combo. If I didn't have a 95 with the same miles, I would be bidding! These are amazing machines.
Monty1212 All looks good on CarFax. And the paint reading images in the photo essay are also indicative of zero damage/paintwork. My sense is many M3s were damaged in their lifetime due to over exuberant drivers...
Sorry I just noticed the carfax posted

@Spyder21 While the car drives surprisingly nice on aged out tires (DOT date 2010), a fresh set will definitely improve the refinement and grip.
Beautiful car !
How old are the tires?
A few updates on this rare M3 as we approach the auction's close. The AC was serviced last week and functions beautifully. I surveyed the car this morning regarding functionality of accessories and switchgear. The only items that did not function at this time were the cigarette lighter and the rectangular factory flash light in the glovebox.
Climate control, radio, CD, cassette, interior lamps, side view mirrors, fog lamps, wipers, door locks, and windows all function as of this writing. There is one key and one remote lock actuator for the car. The car is sold 'as-is' with no warranty implied or otherwise.
Feel free to contact me if you have specific questions.

I'm excited about this special M3. The brilliant avus blue made it easy for me to put together a great group of glamour shots. Such a photogenic car. And such a rewarding car to drive.
I'm looking forward to watching this auction unfold. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Avusblau is an incredible color- I own a ‘99 323ic in this special shade of blue and it always has me turning back to loom at it after I’m parked. I suspect this one will go for all the money which is too bad for me as I’d love to have matching coupe and vert avusblau E36s in the garage ?
