Debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1989 as BMW’s flagship grand touring sports car, the E31 8-Series represents an icon of BMW design with its pillarless windows, pop-up headlights, and a wind-tunnel-shaped wedge-like profile. This 1995 example comes finished in the desirable shade of Calypso Red over Silver Nappa leather upholstery. This one-owner example and lifetime California car is now being offered for auction.
This example comes finished in Calypso Red and features rectangular pop-up headlights, fog lights, pillarless side windows, sculpted bumper covers and side skirts, and black body trim. The factory 16” Style 8 wheels are dressed in Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval tires mounted approximately 3k miles ago. The seller notes some paint oxidation and a few imperfections. The cabin presents Silver Nappa leather upholstery with a deviating dashboard, center console, and steering wheel in black. The E31 840ci is powered by a 4.4L M62 V8, which produces up to 282 HP and 310 lb.-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed Steptronic automatic transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH occurs in 7.2 seconds with a top speed of 155 MPH. The seller notes that the fuel pump was recently replaced along with new batteries.

In 2007 we sold the car to a dealer, but my wife missed it so much, we bought it back. The car has never been registered to anyone else but us.

The headlner is fine and no cracks in the center AC vent
How is the headliner, especially in the rear? It seems it is balloning a little at the left side of the RF sunvisor . Is the center AC vent cracked?
