We are pleased to offer this 1994 Porsche 968 presented in exceptional overall condition. Representing one of only 10 Speed Yellow 968 coupes delivered to North America, this 1994 example features a factory painted rear spoiler as well as a desirable 6-speed manual transmission. Currently residing in New York, this 2-owner 968 was purchased by the seller 5 years ago and kept in phenomenal condition with only 31k miles now showing on the odometer.
Chosen as the flagship marketing color for the 968, the rare and highly sought-after Speed Yellow (X4) finish is reported to be in excellent original condition (detailed images and recent paint meter readings are provided in the photo gallery). Details include pop-up headlights, a factory optional painted rear spoiler and factory 5-spoke Cup wheels which have been professionally refinished in black.
The Black leather interior is noted to be in fantastic shape. Factory options include cassette and coin storage, a removable electric tilt sunroof and a rear window wiper. An aftermarket head unit has been installed, although the original radio will also be included with the sale. All instruments and accessories are stated to be fully functional with the exception of the temperature gauges.
Power is derived from a naturally aspirated 3.0 L inline 4-cylinder engine which sends 236 HP to the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. 0-60 is achieved in approximately 6 seconds while reaching a top speed north of 150 MPH. Upon the seller’s purchase 5 years ago, a comprehensive service was performed which included the replacement of the timing belt and water pump. All other routine service is reported to be up to date and this 968 is said to be in excellent driving order.
This sale will be accompanied by a set of two keys, original books and tools, service records, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity and a clear title. For any Porsche enthusiast looking to add a 968 to their collection, this outstanding 1994 example makes an excellent choice.

@Fringecarcollector Hey There! This one’s gonna reside in So Cal, alongside another 968 (silver; 1995).
The silver one was ordered new by Rennsport Reunion co-founder (and longtime Porsche employee) Bob Carlson. The silver 968 is also an ex-Brumos collection car and has less than 19k on the odometer; so both cars will be in good company!
??
@finallygonedark congrats on a great car. where will Big Bird be living now?
I am the guy who bought the clean white coupe on BaT in November 2017. Lives in NJ now.
@jeff968 thanks for talking with me last night!
Congrats to seller and buyer - I was just saying in the FB group that this is a great result and in my book, fairly market correct. Colors can drive a 30% premium on those (And this one certainly does) and low mileage is impressive. Fair deal for both with maybe a slight advantage to the buyer but only because I believe that the market for 968 cars will be bright in the next few years.
Well done, preserve, but drive this beauty, so nice!
Congrats to the new owner. You got quite a 968 there!

I was wondering what happened. Thank you
The clock has been extended to 10 min. Good luck to all.
We will be adding time to this auction. It ended despite a last min bid being registered.
They aren't making any more! I paid a few bucks less for mine 2 years ago with twice the mileage!!!!
Great car. If I didn't already have a super clean and low mileage 968 of my own... I'd be on this. Thought I was selling it to a previous owner earlier this week and was excited to roll into this, but that deal fell through.

Attempted to re bid today. What is an atomic block?
It wouldn't let me bid, saying I can't bid after "atomic block" WTF is that?
I have a 1994 6 speed Cabriolet in guards red, black top, tan interior. This might be a fine stablemate.

I had a speed yellow 94 cabriolet and be prepared for a discussion at every gas stop. It's Uber rare. The Club Sport was not sold in North America and speed gelb (yellow) is relatively "common" in that rare spec car. I hope someone wakes up before the auction is over. This is a great car.
Bid in the amount of $6,000
@finallygonedark all original except for paint on rims radio and euro turn signals
Bid in the amount of $5,500
@Beeker1320 Has the car been lowered? All original suspension/struts/etc.? Is everything original to the car with the exception of the head unit (radio)? Have any aftermarket speakers been added?
Bid in the amount of $5,250
Hey there, just want to mention that it’s the outside temp digital lcd screen that’s is not working like most 968’s. I have original cassette radio and all service records.
Awesome & Rare 968, hope it gets a lot of attention & bidding. Is this auction info posted in Rennlist?
Bid in the amount of $5,000
Amazing and beautiful 968. Although they produced 10 speed yellow 968 coupes only 6 of them remain so these are super rare machines. GLWS.
