In January 1993, the 911 Turbo became recognized as one of the world's fastest production cars, featuring a new turbocharged version of the 3.6-liter M64 flat-six engine. It proved itself in the Carrera Cup series, instantly becoming a cultural icon in the mid-1990s. This 1994 example is one of less than 1,500 models produced and features a 5-speed manual transmission. Finished in Black over a matching leather interior, this Turbo features 18″ Speedline wheels, a fixed rear spoiler, a rear window wiper, headlamp washers, power-adjustable front seats, air conditioning, and an upgraded Porsche Classic Communication Management (PCCM) infotainment screen. It is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California showing approximately 66k miles on the odometer.
This 964 Turbo comes finished in Black (L741) and showcases widened bodywork, aerodynamic side mirrors, and a fixed rear spoiler. The factory 18” Speedline multi-piece wheels come dressed in a set of Bridgestone S-02 tires. The seller notes that the paint has been extensively detailed, some areas have been touched-up and corrected, some scuffs are present on the underside of the front bumper, and the windshield shows minor wear. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report and paint meter readings with a report commissioned by the prior owner.
Inside, the cabin features Black supple leather seats with a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. The steering wheel is wrapped in black leather, framing a 5-gauge instrument cluster including a 6,400-RPM redline tachometer and a 180-MPH speedometer. Amenities include air conditioning, a power sunroof, and power windows. Modifications consist of a Porsche Classic Communication Management (PCCM) infotainment screen and the removal of the trunk-mounted CD changer.
The 3.6-liter M64/60 flat-six engine is equipped with a KKK K27 turbocharger, intercooler, and Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection. As much as 355 HP and 384 lb.-ft of torque are sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed G50 manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Compared to the first-generation 964 Turbo, the Turbo 3.6 featured larger Brembo brakes with fixed 4-piston aluminum calipers as well as a lowered and retuned suspension. A recent service was carried out by Porsche Irvine of California in December of 2022 including an oil and filter change, as shown in the CARFAX report.
This sale will include a clean title. The seller notes that the title is in transit and will be in possession of it shortly after the auction end if not prior.

@bd041556 The car is currently fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport tires with 2022 date codes. 225/40ZR18 (front) and 265/35ZR18 (rear). See photos 93, 94, 95, and 96.
What is the story with the tires? In some pictures it looks like they're Bridgestone and in others, Michelin?
Bid in the amount of $156,226
@Bat-Man-N-Robin Yes, plus the commission (10%) made it $286k (plus some other costs). That is why PCar is so great, the buyer fee is capped! And I repeat... WE ARE HERE TO SELL THIS BEAUTY!
But since we are talking recent history...It was bid to $325k on another online auction in December, which is why we thought there was an opportunity at the American-heavy Barrett Jackson. There is nothing to fear about two recent auctions - this was a car in dealer inventory with less than 100 miles put on it in the last 6 months. This extremely rare, highly desirable Porsche is ready to go, and one that can be enjoyed on the road or as a center piece in a collection!
@Nessaf612 Correct. That’s what we thought also! The car is here to sell to someone who will appreciate it for a long time to come!
Let’s be fair, the actually total paid at B Jackson was almost $290k. Lots of bidders sleeping during that one.
Car sold at Barrett Jackson for $260,000 on Jan 28th 2023.
Bid in the amount of $150,000
Bid in the amount of $116,226
@cobalt I did some quick research and painted center caps seem readily available online. None come with the car, but they can be purchased from Pelican Parts or Suncoast with a short delivery window.
@markiemark Thanks, it really is a special car!
@cobalt This is how we received the car. I would have never replaced anything original.
I have to ask why would you replace the NLA very rare and hard to find center caps with the ones you put on the car? Do the originals come with the car?
WOW !!! That is RAD Nice lookin Good Luck
@ChoicedealsNC Yes, we bought it to resell here! It is an awesome car that is ready to head to a long term home!
Is this the one that just sold at Barrett-Jackson last week?
@Nein9 Thanks for your interest! I do not have any historical records on the car but I will try my best to track anything that exists down.
Yes, it was auctioned under prior ownership. Once unsuccessfully. The second time we were fortunate enough to win it!
Looking at the history, this car was on 2 other auction sites recently. One bid up but RNM and just recently sold by another site/ live auction.
Can you confirm you just purchased from the auction?
Great car but a hot potato!
Do you have any additional service history from the owner especially the paint and body work records. Also, any story or explanation on the mileage jump from 2000-2002?
Hello PCar! We are very excited to bring this very special 964 turbo 3.6 to this amazing community. We are a dealer and NEW owners of this incredible car. The reserve is VERY reasonable and it is here to SELL. Please let us know if you have any questions!
