Limited to 936 examples worldwide, the 964-generation 911 Speedster is a special version of the Carrera 2 Cabriolet featuring a shortened windscreen and a unique double-hump convertible top cover as well as Recaro bucket seats and lightweight door panels borrowed from the Carrera RS. This 1994 example is among 427 that were sold in the U.S. and is said to be one of only 8 cars that were equipped with the optional Tiptronic automatic transmission. It comes finished in Grand Prix White over a Black leather interior with multi-tone seat centers and contrasting white accents. This rare 964 is now being offered for auction out of Georgia with approximately 68k miles showing on the odometer.
The 964 Speedster received a shorter windscreen than the contemporary Carrera 2 Cabriolet as well as a manually operated convertible top that stows beneath a distinctive fiberglass double-hump tonneau cover. This example is finished in Grand Prix White and rides on factory 17” Cup Design wheels. Other equipment includes a speed-activated rear spoiler, aero mirrors, integrated front fog lights, a periscope-style third brake light, a single exhaust outlet, and black brake calipers with white Porsche lettering. The seller indicates the front right fender and hood have been refinished.
The interior of the Speedster comes without rear seats and features pair of fixed-back Recaro bucket seats and lightweight door panels from the Carrera RS. The cabin of this example is trimmed in Black leather with grey multi-tone seat centers and contrasting white door handles, instrument panel surround, gear selector, and handbrake cover. Other features include power windows, cruise control, automatic climate control, an onboard computer, an aftermarket Blaupunkt stereo, and black carpet floor mats with red embroidered “Speedster” script. The seller notes some small cracks on the driver's side of the dashboard.
An air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine provides up to 247 HP and 228 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels by way of a 4-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission with a manual shifting mode.
This sale will include a clean title.

wow, I've never seen an automatic, such a deal breaker for 99%.
Off book repairs are not uncommon with expensive cars. Know of one that was done "several states away", brought in under cover of darkness in an enclosed trailer. The damage was such that it would destroy re-sale. It was a high-dollar high-demand car.
Pays to put eyes on any car. FWIW, both door strikers appear to have been moved. Paint meter readings are in line with a repair so kudos to the seller for "outing" it. As easy at is to do test panels and dial in the final paint mix it's a shame about the drivers door. Not all shops are up to the task. I'd wrap it and call it good! The "Tipper" is perfect for this car. It's a laid back cruiser. GLWA

@Porschehoff... we can upload the underside phots today prior to the auction close. The actual service file is "thin" in the documents. We will also upload what we have.
@Mezger777.. No the car has never been in a flood. The seats are original to the car. They are in incredible condition. Never been dyed, we did do a small repair on the driver's seat bolster prior to brining the car to market. There was a small separation we repaired. The car has been in Georgia since 2000 when it was purchased by the 2nd owner (the 2nd and 3 owners via Carfax are the same person). Ther current owner acquired the car in 2020.
Has this car ever been in a flood?
Are the seats the factory original seats ? How long have you on the car?
Any photos of the undercarriage? Service records?
Beautiful car and there’s no reason why the front hood and drivers door could not be color matched in the future.
Personally, I would rather drive a car with some miles and some history instead of something that I’m afraid to put mileage on.
I think real collectors will look past the minor issues, because how many front bumpers and hoods have been repainted due to rock chips
Truly, a wonderful speedster.

@kristiantower, @Dodgersfanatic123.. we just sent over the requested photos of the paint readings as well as the pictures of the VIN stickers throughout the car. Every panel has a VIN tag with the exception of the front fenders. They did not have any stickers.
In regard to the paint, the hood has been repainted as well as the driver's door is reading that it also has been repainted. There is no accident history with the car as we have Carfax reports dating back to 2000 as well as 2020 and the current 2023 report.
The listing has been updated

Does this model year have vin stickers on the panels? If so some pictures would be great
Paint mismatch will kill the value.
@Porsche1959 and @Dodgersfanatic123. Happy to get you some paint reading on Tuesday. There is some discoloration on the right front fender near the headlight bezel. I have our paint repair specialist coming Tuesday to remedy it. He is a magician.
On paint color... Front bumper, hood and driver's side door all appear to be 3 different colors. Any information about repaint or potential prior accidents appreciated. Thanks.
Bid in the amount of $10,000
Looks like there’s some paint mismatch on some of the body panels, has the car ever been repainted? Can you post paint meter readings? Thanks and good luck with sale!
