Specially outfitted with lighting and safety equipment to meet North American regulations, the Land Rover Defender NAS (North American Specification) was the only utility model offered by Land Rover in the U.S. and Canada from 1992 to 1997. This 1994 example is designated as #1903 of approximately 2,000 units produced for the model year and comes finished in Beluga Black over Charcoal vinyl upholstery. Power is provided by a 3.9-liter V8 engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and dual-range transfer case. Modifications include an upgraded ARB front bumper with a winch, LED lighting, aftermarket speakers, and more. Showing under 146k miles on the odometer, this NAS Defender is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New Jersey.
This two-door Defender 90 has been refinished in Beluga Black and comes equipped with both a tan soft top and a removable black hardtop. Equipment includes a front brush guard, tubular rear bumper with an integrated receiver hitch, an aftermarket ARB front bumper, and a full LED lighting conversion. The truck rides on silver-finished 16” five-spoke wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires from 2016, with a matching rear-mounted spare. The seller notes corrosion on the underside of the rear bumper and running boards. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with Charcoal vinyl and cloth upholstery. Features include front bucket seats, four inward-facing rear jump seats, a two-spoke steering wheel, air conditioning, a quartz clock, sliding front windows, a locking center console storage compartment, cup holders, and aftermarket door-panel speakers. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are confirmed to be in working order.
A gasoline-powered 3.9-liter V8 engine delivers up to 182 HP and 232 lb-ft of torque to all four wheels by way of a 5-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The seller adds that a recent oil change was performed, and the CARFAX report shows a total of 13 service history entries. No outstanding maintenance items have been reported.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “The owner acquired this example in 2018. They wish to share the joy he has had with this NAS Defender. It has never let him down, and there are no issues. It can be enjoyed immediately.

Hi everybody, and welcome to our 1994 NAS Defender 90 auction!
It is our pleasure to bring this beautiful vehicle to market. This particular Land Rover is only 1 of 100 factory Beluga Black vehicles built in 1994. It features adventurous amenities such as half doors (uppers + lowers), full doors, a black hardtop, a tan soft top, heated seats, A/C, LED lights, and an Alpine audio system.
This Defender spent most of its life in Tennessee, eventually making its way to NJ in 2018. Under its last ownership, its' utilitarian elegance was on a sporting estate as a fishing and outdoor adventure vehicle.
When not being used, this 90 was mostly garaged. If it did find itself parked outside overnight, it was lovingly tucked under a car cover (sold with the vehicle).
We have had the pleasure of driving numerous Defenders and can say this Defender performed well above our expectations. It truly brings out the elegance and ruggedness of the Land Rover name.
Please leave any comments or questions and, most of all,
Enjoy the auction!
