Initially designed as a utilitarian off-road vehicle in 1983, the Land Rover Defender 110 has evolved over the years to offer a blend of rugged capability and modern amenities. Refinished in Nardo Gray borrowed from Audi’s paint collection over custom tan leather upholstery, this 1994 example has undergone a custom nut & bolt restoration by a Land Rover specialist along with the installation of an LS3 engine and a 6L90E automatic transmission. Reportedly driven under 30 miles since the completion of this project, this Defender is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York.

This Defender is said to have been sandblasted and refinished in Audi Nardo Gray (LY7C/T3) as part of its frame-off restoration. Additionally, the soft top frame was galvanized and powder coated along with the installation of new bumpers, headlamp finishers, front fenders, radiator grille & frame, doors, hinges, locks, rear panels, seals, mirrors, wheel arch eyebrows, hardware, wheels, and Ironman All Country CMT tires from 2021. Upgraded LED headlights, fog lights, and taillights have also been fitted. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin has been customized with tan diamond-stitched leather seats, leather-trimmed door cards, a MOMO Nero steering wheel, a Land Rover Defender Puma ’07 dashboard, and a tunnel center console with LED cup holders and leather details. New seatbelts and carpeting were also installed. Upgraded amenities include air conditioning, a rear parking camera, an Alpine 7” head unit, new speakers, and all-new instrumentation.

Power is derived from a newly installed 6.2-liter LS3 Small-Block V8 engine paired with a 6L80E automatic transmission and a transfer case with a 1:2 gear ratio rebuilt by Ashcroft Transmission. The seller adds that the engine remains under a GMC 5-yr/50k-mile warranty. A list of restoration items can be found below:
