We are pleased to present this 1994 BMW E36 M3 finished in Cosmoschwartz Metallic (303) over a Black leather interior. The second generation of the M3, the E36 was launched with a new body style, new chassis, and 6-cylinder S50 engine boasting nearly 100 HP over the original E30 M3. This Japanese specification example was imported into the U.S. from Tokyo approximately four months ago and comes equipped with 17” BMW ‘Style 24’ wheels, heated front seats, height adjustable European headlights and more. Since acquiring the car, the seller has reportedly had it serviced and detailed, and it is now being offered for auction out of Washington state, while showing just under 62k kilometers (~38k miles) on the odometer.
This M3 comes finished in Cosmoschwartz Metallic (303), and features model specific front and rear bumpers, flared side skirts, and body-colored aerodynamic mirrors. The seller notes that the finish remains very nicely preserved, and was recently detailed and ceramic coated. A small ding is noted on the driver's door as well as some chipping on both edges, a small scuff on the rear passenger wheel, some discoloration of the front windscreen trim, and a few chips which have been touched up on the front end. A collection of detailed images has been provided by the seller and can be found in the gallery. Exterior details include pop-out quarter windows, Euro-spec glass headlights, front and rear fog lamps, and a set of 17” ‘Style 24’ wheels. The wheels are dressed in a set of Dunlop Direzza tires bearing date codes from 2018.
The cabin is trimmed in black leather and is highlighted by a pair of sought-after Vader sport seats with a Motorsport accent stripe on the backrests. The cabin remains in good overall condition showing wear commensurate with age and use. Wear is visible on the driver’s seat bolster, some light scratches are present on the center console and driver’s door panel, and passenger door panel shows some shrinkage at the bottom pocket. Amenities include a rear sunshade, an 18-button on-board computer, an electric sunroof, power windows, central locking, cruise control, and automatic climate control. An upgraded Sony head unit with a trunk mounted Sony Xplod CD changer has been installed, and a Japanese toll-card reader is mounted on the underside of the dashboard. The seller confirms all gauges, light, and features remain fully functional.
Power comes from a 3.0L straight-six S50 engine which produces up to 286 HP and 236 lb.-ft of torque. The 3.0L Euro S50 produces over 40 HP more than its U.S. counterpart thanks to individual throttle bodies, continuously variable VANOS valve timing, heavy-duty valve springs, and higher compression ratios. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 5-speed manual transmission. The seller notes that an oil and filter service was carried out recently at which time new spark plugs were installed.
This sale will includea clean title. Featuring the desirable S50 straight-six paired with a manual gearbox, this Japanese market M3 makes perfect sense for the discerning enthusiast.

A new photo has been added to the listing gallery.
if you go to jevic.com, choose "new e-cert" from the customer page drop down menu. From there, enter only the vin and click search. The cert. will come up in a new tab, so you have to make sure pop-ups are tuned on.
just sent in a phot of the jevic verification for them to upload. miles are GUARANTEED. The side skirts and gas door weren't polished too heavily in fear of burning through, those parts have not been ceramic coated so next owner can choose to do so if they would like.
thanks - I do see the gas door is discolored and something is going on with the side skirt, but overall all the panels appear to match. I did try just the vin and still nothing from Jevic. I also see the car on craigslist for 49k not sure I can get that high but it does appear to be the right color, wheels and options. I had a 96 E36 brand new, loved everything aobut it except the power so I walked into my local Dinan dealer and put a deposit on their stage III demonstrator. The day before I was set pick up it was stolen off the lot with keys in it!
@jcbfff when you go to the jevic site, leave the serial number blank, only enter vin, and it will come up.
The car is registered and has a WA state title in my dealerships name. The car got a new set of plus when we serviced it, but didnt need much past fluids and the mentioned above. The car is very dry underneath and no seals or anything of the like were noted as needing replaced. I was not able to track down a meter in time, I wish I was given more of a heads up than a day on that request... I do believe all paint is original to the car. As noted in the ad, the car does have a few blemishes up front that have been touched up, but all is in line with the mileage IMO. Thanks and happy bidding!
sorry for the second comment but I went to the jevic site and entered the vin and Jevic serial number and it came back with "no results"
@drewsity sorry if I missed it, but is the car titled in the US? When it was serviced for the oil change why did they change the spark plugs? Did the mechanic perform any further diagnotics and reccomend other repairs?
Do you think paint meter readings will be available in time? Thanks and glwts

Mileage wag verified and bonded genuine through JEVIC before being exported from Japan. 100% guarantee on actual miles and can be verified by entering # and vin through jevic.
@TSarasin unfortunately the previous owner withheld most the receipts, but water pump was reported to be replaced. The rad looks to be the original one. ZERO rust!
@TSarasin I meant rust on the frame/rockers , under the car.
Is there rust on the exterior? Has any major maintenance been done to the cooling and VANOS?
@drmoops I sent a driving video in that should uploaded shortly. The car has no faults. All lights, ac, windows, sunroof etc works as it should. The passenger door card has some shrinking at the top of the door pockets, drivers door card is good. Headliner has one small spot by the passenger grab handle, but overall in great shape. The glovebox and dash are perfect.
Any chance of some videos? cold star, walk around, lights, a trip through the gears, etc? Any headliner issues or glovebox sag? I know from experience that the leather on this gen 3 series tends to pull away from the doorcards and looks like that's starting here. How severe is it at this point? Can we get some detail photos? Thanks!

We didn’t get much as far as records for the vehicle, although the miles have been verified through JEVIC to be genuine. The car has not been involved an any accidents to my knowledge. All body panels and paint appear to be original.
@drewsity did you import the car? Do you have any records from previous owners or any history? Are all body panels original? Any paint work?
Hello all. My name is Drew. I’ll be following the auction and happy to answer any questions along the way. This e36 is a great example and excited to see where it lands. Thanks and happy bidding!
