Featuring an air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine and a 5-speed G50 manual gearbox sending power to the rear wheels, this 1993 Porsche 964 Carrera 2 Cabriolet is presented in Polar Silver Metallic over a Marine Blue interior. It comes equipped with optional 8-way power-operated seats in supple leather, 17” Speedline 993 Targa wheels, a power convertible top, a speed-activated rear spoiler, fog lights, automatic climate control, a Porsche CD-2 stereo, and more. Said to have been cared for by one owner in Mississippi, this 964 is now being offered for auction out of Tennessee with approximately 56k miles on the odometer.
This 964 is finished in Polar Silver Metallic with a dark blue convertible top and matching tonneau cover. Equipment includes power-adjustable Aero mirrors, integrated fog lights, a speed-activated rear spoiler, a single exhaust outlet, black Porsche-branded brake calipers, and 17” Speedline 993 Targa wheels dressed in older tires. The original 16” five-spoke alloy wheels are also included with newer Nexen tires. The exterior has been treated with ceramic coating and a new windshield was installed in 2024. Some minor scratches are noted in the paint as well as wear on the convertible top folds. The Marine Blue interior features optional 8-way power-adjustable seats in supple leather. Other accessories include a four-spoke leather steering wheel, power windows, a central locking system, cruise control, automatic climate control, an optional amplifier, and a Porsche CD-2 radio. The gauges were restored by North Hollywood Speedometer in 2024, and all accessories are said to be fully functional.
An air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 247 HP to the rear wheels through a 5-speed G50 manual transaxle. The seller indicates routine service has been kept up-to-date and an oil service and inspection have been completed in preparation for the next owner.
This sale will include the original 16” wheels, owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a spare tire, an air pump, a car cover, and a clean title.

This particular example has been well preserved but has not been driven much in the past few years. In our extensive experience, this is a mechanically sound 964, with minimal case leaks which is unusual, and a clean, one-owner history. The two items from inspection that are at the discretion of the buyer are new tires and replacement of the cloth top.”

Feel free to ask any last minute questions. I think we have done a thorough job of describing the condition of this late generation 964 Cab. It is a one-owner, low mile, unmodified example with lots of life and fun remaining. In our many years of Porsche restoration and service, the 964 ranks amongst the manufacturer's strongest and most reliable models. In response to the mileage question the odometer readings in 2016 and 2017 were 53048 and 55018 respectively. The odometer has been at 56333 since 2021. The car has been in my shop and not driven since 2023. Due to the estate holding situation I would expect minimal driving from 2021 to present. Based on estimates I would expect not more than 2000 miles with the odometer not functioning. Hope that helps. Good luck with the bidding.

It was on the very front directly in the middle of the frunk bottom. The metal strap was bent. The dent in the frunk bottom was repaired and the strap was replaced. I’ll see if I can upload before and after pictures. Thanks for asking for clarity on the inspection. The specific location is where the front, plastic pieces under the bumper cover meet the metal frunk bottom. The metal strap that seams the two areas was replaced with new OE piece.
Good morning, there is a reference in the inspection report to a "pinch weld" due to an impact. Could you please tell me which picture shoesthat weld and do you have any information of the impact noted in the report? As to the mileage, do you have an idea of how long the odometer was not functioning? Thank you

I submitted to PCARMarket on Sunday. I can tell you the report range was 4.0 to 6.5 with 60 readings all over the car. This is using an elcometer 311 which is the most accurate reader. I will call PCM to upload the information.

Our invoice for windshield, antenna box, paint correction, ceramic coating, gauge restoration, battery, and other repairs is included. I encourage you to read through the listing and watch the videos as many of your questions are answered. The climate module works as intended, no issues. There is the occasional chirp in the blower motor which is common in 964 and 993. It’s been very hot here and the A/C works really well, nice and cold, thank God! As far as the heat, I am familiar with the common problem but this car is not fighting itself. There are no leaks under the car. There are no issues with the power steering pump or hoses. They look dry and pump is quiet. The seat buttons are all working in all directions. The top frame to my knowledge has not been welded. We normally shorten the cables but I have not done anything to the top of this 911. I’ve had to fix the bow on other cars but the cables on this car are running in sync. I’ll take a closer look at the bow and report any additional findings.
Climate control work properly?
A/C? Does the heat shut off? Clutch slip or chatter? Rack leak? PS noise? Top motors loud? 8 way seats work? And Has the B-pillar top frame been welded?
Welcome to the 964 Cab auction. We are here to answer any questions about the history and condition of this 964. This Porsche Carrera 2 is being auctioned from an estate in Mississippi but the family is managing the car from Nashville Tennessee. Our shop was commissioned to determine the overall condition and list for the estate. We have performed a full inspection and basic service. This 964 is low mile and well preserved. The engine case is unusually dry. We had the gauges restored two months ago. We also replaced the battery and OE windshield. The only recommendations for service that were not performed were tires and soft top. We decided to leave tires and top at the discretion of the buyer.
