Finished in Guards Red over a black partial leather interior, this 1993 Porsche 964 Carrera 2 Cabriolet was sold new from Prestige Imports of Lakewood, Colorado, and remained in the state with its first three owners up until 2018 when it was acquired by the seller. This 964 is one of 600 Carrera Cabriolets produced for the United States in the 1993 model year and comes equipped with a 5-speed G50 manual gearbox driving the rear wheels along with an optional power driver’s seat, rear seat delete, and upgraded Porsche Classic radio. Showing approximately 72k miles on the odometer, this 964 is now being offered for auction by its owner out of Connecticut.
This Carrera 2 comes finished in Guards Red (L80K) with a black cabriolet top, matching tonneau cover, and factory 16” C2 5-spoke wheels with optional colored center crests. Other equipment includes a speed-activated rear spoiler, Cup-style mirrors, and a U.S. market third brake light. The seller notes the car has been professionally detailed throughout their ownership while always carefully driven and garage kept. A few slight chips are noted on the driver’s door edge and the Michelin Pilot Sport tires are dated from 2015 with approximately 4k miles of use. The black partial leather interior includes an optional 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat and factory rear seat delete as well as custom red/black Coco floor mats and an upgraded Porsche Classic radio with Bluetooth and navigation. The seller states a new convertible top and headliner have been installed and that the front seats were reupholstered.
As much as 247 HP is sent to the rear wheels from an air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine paired with a 5-speed G50 manual gearbox. Major service was completed at the time of the seller’s purchase in 2018 including the installation of a new alternator and rebuilt power steering unit as well as new valve cover gaskets, brakes, engine compartment lining, oil hoses, control arms bushings, Bilstein shocks, timing covers gaskets, tensioners, transmission fluid, an intermediate shaft seal, and a four-wheel alignment.
This sale will include the original owner’s manuals, toolkit, spare tire, air pump, and a clean title (lien).

Alan, The minor leak is power steering fluid, and again, in 4yrs I've only topped it up once, The car is scheduled for 8/2 and should only take a day or two (I'm also having the oil changed). It will most likely take you a bit of time to arrange transport (I bought the car from CA and it took nearly two weeks for delivery - all depends on what car shows are being held - those shows often take most of the car carriers off line). Need to goo to my mtg. I'll check in after I'm done.

Scheduled for 8/2/2022, barring any unforeseen issues. It's a very minimal leak (I've topped up the reservoir once in 4 yrs), so I'm assuming a simple gasket replacement will solve.

TyStav . . . I do not have an underbody pics of my car. I do have a slight drip from my power steering unit, which is scheduled to be reviewed/repaired in the next week. As for oil leaks, the only drops of oil I've every noticed in my 4 yrs of ownership has come when the car has been driven all day and then sits for for 10+ days. My local mechanic has never said anything regarding leaks requiring repair.

The paint meter readings were taken by Chequered Flag in Marina Del Rey, CA at the time of my purchase (approx. 4 yrs ago) and no specific pics were assigned to each reading - just the form indicated in this listing. The professional appraisal report completed by Classic Auto Appraisers, out of Irvine, CA, did confirm those reading at the time of my purchase. During my ownership my detail professional has been fully aware of those readings and how best to handle older paint when he details the car. And, the car has been garaged full-time during my ownership. Thanks again for the question.

However, to support my local Porsche dealership, I did own a few Porsches at one time and Hoffman Porsche most likely transposed one car's mileage for the 1993 964's mileage - not good, but it can happen. Roma . . . Both Ac and heat operate very well (as does the 3 speed fan), and, the vents allow you to circulate air in the needed direction.

Thanks for the questions. No recent compression and leak-off tests performed. However, both tests were completed prior to my purchase approx. 4 years/4000 miles ago:

Absolutely no rust, dents, etc. Original paint in very good condition - please note paint chart.
Would the Seller plz comment on any rust? In addition, would the Seller plz share results of compression and leak-off tests, if recent performed? THX
