The final evolution of Porsche’s luxurious grand touring sports car, the 928 GTS made its debut in 1991 featuring widened fenders, larger brakes, and a more powerful 5.4-liter V8 engine. This 1993 example was originally sold in Canada and is one of only 190 cars reported to have been sold in North America for the model year. It comes finished in Black and features matching leather upholstery, a power sunroof, heated power seats, 17” Cup wheels, and a 4-speed automatic transaxle. The car was subject to a major service including timing belt and water pump replacements prior to the current owner’s purchase in 2021 and has reportedly been driven less than 200km since while traveling between car show venues and indoor storage. Showing just over 146k kilometers (91k miles) on the odometer, this rare transaxle Porsche is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Canada.
Based on the 928 S4 model, the GTS can be distinguished by its flared rear fenders, painted rear spoiler, Cup design mirrors, and red taillight panel. This example is finished in Black and was professionally repainted in its original color by Contemporary Coachworks of Calgary, Alberta, in 2002 along with replacements of all seals and weatherstripping. Equipment includes optional body-colored side moldings, popup headlamps, integrated front fog lights, a rear window wiper, and 17” Cup wheels dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport All-Season tires from 2020. Clear paint protection film is applied to the front bumper, rear fenders, and door handle recesses. Noted imperfections include one small chip near the left fog light, a touched-up scratch on the lefthand mirror, and a touch-up on the leading edge of the passenger door. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is trimmed in black leather including heated and power-adjustable seats. Other equipment includes climate control with extended rear-seat air conditioning, a central locking system, cruise control, power windows and mirrors, a digital clock, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a Porsche CD-2 stereo. Some minor creases are noted on the driver’s seat bolster.
The 5.4-liter M28/49 V8 DOHC engine includes four valves per cylinder and delivers up to 345 HP and 369 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 4-speed automatic transaxle. Service completed by Porsche Centre Calgary in 2020 included the replacement of the timing belt and water pump, spark plugs and ignition wires, distributor cap and rotor, intake and valve cover gaskets, a battery, fuel lines and gaskets, belts, filters, and fluids. A more recent service in March 2023 was performed by Porsche Centre Vaughan including new factory air intake tubes.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, service records, a toolkit, a spare tire, an air pump, a clean title, and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.
The seller would like you to know: “This is a collector-grade restoration on a car that was driven with love and had all the kinks worked out. The car is completely bone stock with over $24K worth of service in the last few years, including new air intake tubes most recently in March. When we had it inspected at our local Porsche Classic dealer, the Shop Foreman came out to ask who did the work, as he was astonished by how clean the underbody was -- "There isn't a drop of oil or moisture on the tip of any nut or bolt". The car has been on display at various local Porsche venues and classics events since then and is now offered for sale for the next lucky P-car enthusiast.”

Good morning everyone and welcome to closing day! We are excited to see this GTS go to a new owner to be driven and enjoyed. Quick recap of some logistics.
US Bidders:
-this car requires no changes or modifications to enter the US
-subject to 2.5% US duty upon entry
-we facilitate all of the paperwork, shipping and brokerage on your behalf
Canadian buyers:
-we will accept either USD or CAD funds
-shipping can be arranged anywhere in Canada
Good luck to all!
To all our friends watching from south of the border -- this vehicle, being over 25 years old can be lawfully imported into the US without regard to whether it complies with applicable DOT Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS).
In other words, no modifications are required for US buyers and it couldn't be easier to get this 928 GTS with a Euro-spec / metric cluster like in Germany where they came from, without having to go there to get it!
We have sent cars in both directions and can help facilitate everything. In this case, a US buyer is only responsible for shipping to their ZIP code, brokerage fee (~$300) and duty of 2.5% on the sale price. We can take care of the rest!
@Superc911 The car is located in our showroom in Scarborough, you are more than welcome to come see it in person! Please hit the "Contact Seller" button and we will coordinate.

Hi there, not sure how all this stuff works as far as rules of the site but I’m also located in T.O wondering how I can come see the car?
Cheers
@Kingscross thanks for the reply. Yours is a great looking car and I really like the 928's, just wish I fit into them.
@cd1 the car has a fully functional sunroof. I wasn't endowed with the same kind of height so cannot comment on the headroom but the powered comfort seats are adjustable in just about every direction. Along with the 928's signature adjustable steering column + cluster you should be able to find a comfortable driving position, perhaps at the expense of the rear passenger's legs.
Is there a sun roof? Reason I ask is I'm 6'4". Was recently looking at a 928S with a sunroof and had a significant lack of headroom.

You can certainly pick it up in person and drive it as well!
The car is currently in Ontario, and we can help arrange paperwork and shipping to anywhere in North America.
The car is in Calgary? Capable of being driven back to Ontario?
