As the final iteration of Porsche’s air-cooled 911, the 993 Carrera equips a 3.6-liter flat-six Varioram engine paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. This 1997 Cabriolet example comes finished in Glacier White over Cashmere Beige upholstery. It has also been tastefully modified with HRE wheels, red-painted brake calipers, and a B&B exhaust. This example is reported to have had two owners in total, with the current second owner having owned the vehicle for over 20 years. Sparingly driven, exclusively in favorable weather conditions, this Carrera is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York with under 28k miles showing on the odometer.
This example comes finished in Glacier White contrasted with a black convertible soft top and red-painted brake calipers mounted behind aftermarket 18” 3-piece HRE wheels dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Other equipment includes headlamp washers, integrated fog lights, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and a raised third brake light. The seller notes a crack in the rear plastic window. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, the Cashmere Beige and Black partial leather interior includes matching carpet floor mats, optional 8-way power-adjustable front seats, a four-spoke black leather steering wheel, air conditioning, cruise control, a Becker Porsche CDR-210 stereo, and a set of upgraded speakers.
This 993 is powered by a 3.6-liter flat-six Varioram engine rated at 282 HP. The rear wheels are driven through a 6-speed manual transmission, allowing acceleration from 0-60 MPH in as little as 5 seconds. The seller notes the clutch was previously replaced, and a B&B muffler and exhaust tips have been fitted. The CARFAX report shows 12 service history entries.
This sale will include a clean title and the owner's manuals.
The seller would like you to know: “Never driven in rain under my ownership. the car is very special, someone will be very happy.”

I agree. Very professional and they know Porsches.
Thank you.
I live in Wisconsin and know CS Motorsports well. If they did work, it was done correctly and to a high level of standards. Great looking car!
@dwagner275 sorry missed this question, absolutely not on that one. PPI should be performed prior to bidding. this car is going to a definite buyer this afternoon.
@jsanfilipp we have the tonneau cover in the trunk in its original case. it gets installed manually

@The_Inventor we have been doing this for a long time, while Carfax can be a valuable tool, it sometimes does more harm than good. They pull information that they buy from repair facilities and unfortunately, we are at the mercy of whatever the clear was there at that time entered into the computer. It is clearly a clerical error, these two entries were 30 days apart and there is no other possible explanation for it. The condition of the car is commiserate with the mileage, anyone that is local is more than welcome to come see it prior to auction close. The car is incredible and you should bid with confidence if bidding. Good luck
@jsanfilipp it is, very easy part to acquire and install. They do pop off from time to time.
@SS2580 thanks for looking into the issue. appreciate it
I saw that discrepancy too, I can only attribute it to an honest error/the person was multi tasking and not well.
Give me an hr and I will check it vs the emission testing record.
I know I haven’t used the car much, but 60 miles seems awfully low, but between traveling, COVID, buying a Targa in 2019, and having sit in the shop waiting for the work to be completed the car didn’t see a lot of daylight.
I am kicking myself for not looking at this car in person last week while I was in Southampton!
Great looking 993 Cab!
Bid in the amount of $39,373
@The_Inventor i want to see cafax for odometer readings too but cant open it
Can you go over the discrepancy on the invoices regarding mileage. In photo 137 from CS Motorsports dated 7-01-21 it reads "odometer in" at 27168, then photo 141 also from CS dated one month later at 8-04-21 states "odometer in" at 24270.
Bid in the amount of $37,500
i cant seem to open the carfax report, also are there stamps in that service booklet?
Bid in the amount of $33,737
Bid in the amount of $33,000
Should I be successful, would you permit a PPI before finalizing the purchase?
How come the car only had 60 miles added between 2018 and 2022?
Do you have the cover for the top when it is retracted. I don’t see a photo of it.
Is the plastic cover over the passenger seat mechanism missing? I see exposed mechanism . The driver side cover is in place but looks like the passenger side is missing. Please send a photo of this. Thanks
@rmatluck thank you for the kind words, the seller definitely did a great job caring for this lovely 993
@TexanDoc72 yes
I know the owner of this car well and have seen it in person..He is fastidious about the care and maintenance of his collection and this car is a fantastic low mileage example of a 993 cabriolet. Bid with confidence.
Yes, all levers, buttons, gauges work, as well as the AC.

Bid in the amount of $28,000
Bid in the amount of $27,750
Amazing car! Looking forward to seeing where this beauty lands
I wasn’t happy with the first gear synchro and as long as it was out, the shop went through it.
Can you comment on why the tranny needed to be rebuilt with so few miles?
Can you post a picture of the sticker under the trunk lid?
Is the build sticker in the owners manual?
Can you post pics of the area under the front bumper and the front underbody pan?
Thank you!
Bid in the amount of $27,500
Top Boot ?
@tff the car is always garaged so it was not an issue during ownership. Would not recommend leaving it out in heavy rain while parked. if driving, due to wind it most likely would not be an issue at all. For the record it is a relatively simple thing to have replaced if you plan on having this car in inclement weather. The seller chose to leave the car original and let the next owner decide. The seller also indicated that he did not alter the suspension in any way. Thank you for the interest.

If you did get caught in the rain it probably would leak a bit.
I have had 2 Cabs and both developed a crack in the same place. I never drove the car in the rain, but if you did, drive fast and it probably wouldn’t leak.
I only drove it when I could put the top down.

Nice looking car.
@seller... Does that defect at the top of the convertible top window cause any water leaks?
And, is the car lowered or stock suspension?
