This 1993 Porsche 964 Carrera 2 Coupe was purchased by the current owner in December 2001 and converted for stock G racing before a glass-out restoration was performed in 2013. The car has been refinished in its original Black color and features a refurbished interior with custom Classic 9 leather and Alcantara front seats. A top-end engine rebuild was performed by Eurosport Racing along with the installation of a dual-exit M&M exhaust system, a Steve Wong performance chip, 993 Turbo brakes, Bilstein shock absorbers, upgraded steel gearbox synchronizers, a new clutch and lightweight flywheel, and a Guard 80/80 limited-slip differential. The car also features Dynamat cabin insulation, a MOMO steering wheel, RS-style door panels, refinished OEM 17” Cup wheels, 9Eleven LED projector headlamps, front splitters, and brake duct inserts. Having been driven approximately 8k miles since its restoration, this tastefully modified 964 is now being offered for auction by its longtime owner out of Illinois.

This 964 was refinished in its original Black color by Eryops Bodycraft of Carol Stream, Illinois, including repainting the door jambs, engine bay, luggage compartment, and interior. The car underwent professional rust repair on the fenders and was fitted with all-new rubber body seals and gaskets. Modifications include front splitters, brake duct inserts, aftermarket 9Eleven LED headlamps, FVD marker lenses, red-painted brake calipers, and dual exhaust outlets. Other equipment includes an electric sunroof, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and refinished 17” Cup wheels measuring 7” wide in front and 9” wide at the rear. New Continental tires were installed in 2024. The seller adds that the exterior is in excellent condition with professional paint correction performed by Chicago AutoPros in 2021 and 2024. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The refurbished black interior has been lined with Dynamat sound insulation and features reupholstered Classic 9 leather and Alcantara power seats with enlarged bolsters. Other modifications include RS-style door panels, a three-spoke MOMO steering wheel, a radio block off plate, a drilled aluminum driver’s floorboard, and drilled aluminum pedal covers. The instrumentation was professionally restored by North Hollywood speedometer including new gauge lights and glass covers. Other features include power windows, mirrors, and door locks, air conditioning, heating, and cruise control. The car is also accompanied by a Rennline floor mat and adjustable gas pedal.

The air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine was originally rated at 247 HP and sends power to the rear wheels through a 5-speed G50 manual gearbox. A top-end engine rebuild was performed by Eurosport Racing at 80,100 miles along with the installation of a German-made M&M exhaust system (no catalytic converter), a Steve Wong performance chip, and a new engine sound pad. The gearbox was refurbished in 2009 with a new 3rd gear rod, upgraded steel synchronizers, a new clutch, a lightweight flywheel, and an 80/80 Guard limited-slip differential. The car also features rebuilt 993 Turbo “Big Red” front brakes, new rotors, and upgraded Bilstein shock absorbers. The sale includes a Rennline front strut tower brace and TRG sway bars.

This Carrera 2 is accompanied by a collection of service records, a Rennline strut tower brace, a Rennline floor mat and gas pedal, TRG sway bars, a clean title, and miscellaneous spare parts.

The seller would like you to know: "Thank you for looking at my auction for my 964. When restoring this vehicle, I planned to keep this vehicle for the rest of my life. However, life threw a curveball, making driving a manual transmission difficult. If you are looking for a clean 964, with all of the right modifications, this is the one! Thank you, and happy bidding!

  • Banzaisan (seller) 2 months, 2 weeksago

@Morefun no, I sold my race wheels to fund my restoration project

  • Banzaisan (seller) 2 months, 2 weeksago

@Mos289 @Mos289, yes I had a minor accident on the drivers door and back then it was cheaper to replace the door. But I never like the replacement door since it was replaced with an earlier version door. When I restored my car, I found a replacement door that from another 964

Beautiful car. No questions. It is worth more than I bid! Just wanted to get the party started👍⚓️

  • Banzaisan (seller) 2 months, 2 weeksago

Mos289, Yes, I paid extra when I purchased the M&M exhaust with heat. The AC was reinstalled and tested for leaks. However, the AC unit on the 964 was better than the older 911's but it's not like a modern car that can cool the vehicle quickly.

  • Mos289 (registered bidder) 2 months, 2 weeksago

HVAC systems all restored post racing? I went thru the same process with a 997.2 GT3...built a racecar then turned it back to a streetcar ;-)
