We are pleased to present this 1993 Land Rover Defender 110 NAS. In 1993, Land Rover produced and imported a limited series of 500 Defender 110 long-wheelbase examples into the United States. Remaining the only series of the Defender 110 to have ever been sold new in North America, the NAS represents one of the most collectible Land Rovers on the market. Denoted as #184/500, this Defender was sold new in Los Angeles before spending some time in Canada and eventually returning to California where it now resides with its current owner. Featuring a rebuilt 3.9 L fuel-injected V8 engine and a specification unique to the North American market, this Defender 110 is now being offered with approximately 122k miles showing on the odometer, accompanied by its original window sticker, service records, and a clean title.
This example is presented in Alpine White, the same color configured for all NAS Defender 110s. The paint is shown to be in good overall condition and the seller reports that the front fenders and firewall were professionally finished in 2017 (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery). CARFAX shows no accidents, although some engine bay fire damage was reported in 2006. Factory features include black fender flares, a front brush bar, a roof rack with a ladder, side runner steps, and a “Safari” roll cage. Original 16” painted steel wheels come dressed in BFGoodrich Trac Edge tires. A limited-edition number plaque can also be seen on the rear of the vehicle reading “184/500”.
Inside, the grey pattern cloth interior is said to be in very good condition with a small tear reported on the back of the middle bench seat. The instrument cluster housing is said to have been replaced earlier in 2020 and some dashboard components were replaced in 2017. Dynamat sound insulation has been applied to the floor panels and the seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be working properly including the factory radio, heated front and rear windows, and air conditioning system.
Power comes from a fuel-injected 3.9L V8 engine which was rebuilt by TRS Automotive in Alberta, Canada in 2017 following an engine bay fire that occurred in 2006. Invoices are provided for reference in the photo gallery. Approximately 180 HP and 227 lb.-ft of torque are disturbed among all four wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission with a dual-range transfer case and a locking center differential. A rebuilt replacement transmission was installed in February of 2020 along with a new clutch. The engine’s rear main seal and water pump were also replaced around this time along with a brake fluid flush. This Defender 100 is said to be in excellent running order with a collection of service invoices included.
This sale will be accompanied by 1 master key, the original window sticker, service records, and a clean title. For any off-road automotive enthusiast, this rare Defender 110 NAS is not to be overlooked.

Just a few hours left on this auction. Feel free to send any last minute questions. This is a very clean and original rust free example that has received over $45,000 in recent service, including a full engine and transmission rebuild. Unlike other's that have been on the market, no additional investment will be needed by the new owner to get this truck in excellent mechanical condition. From Feb-March 2020 the truck was serviced by British Car Service in LA. Every single thing that they found to be needed was done, totaling over $10,000. Good luck to all the bidders!

This is a sophisticated machine. Tremendous originality and authentic to what a Defender 110 is meant to be (not a tarted up showpiece). Just lovely.
