Up for auction is this 1993 Chevrolet C4 Corvette ZR-1 finished in Black over a black leather interior. The ultimate Corvette of its era, this ZR-1 has been further upgraded with a Doug Rippie Motorsports (DRM) built V8 engine along with a coilover suspension, Brembo brakes, a Hurst shifter, roll bar, and much more. Registered to the same owner from new, this upgraded Corvette is now being offered for auction out of California showing approximately 63k miles on the odometer.
This ZR-1 is one of only 54 examples reported to have been factory finished in Black (41U) for the 1993 model year. Compared to the standard C4 Corvette, the ZR-1 featured model-specific bodywork including widened rear quarter panels and a convex rear fascia with squared-off taillights. This example rides on a set of chrome 17" American Racing Type 234 wheels dressed in new Goodyear tires. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean one-owner CARFAX report.
The cabin features deeply bolstered power-adjustable Recaro sport seats trimmed in black leather with custom wood accents on the dashboard, center console, and door panels. A roll bar has been installed in the rear and comes fitted with safety harnesses as well as a fire extinguisher. Factory equipment includes automatic climate control, a trip computer, power windows and locks, cruise control, and a Delco-Bose Gold Series stereo with a cassette and CD player. All features and accessories are said to remain fully functional.
This ZR-1 comes equipped with an upgraded LT5 V8 engine built by Doug Rippie Motorsports paired with a ZF 6-speed manual transmission, mechanical limited-slip differential, and 3:73 gears. A dyno sheet included in the seller's documentation shows an output of over 470 HP. Other upgrades include a custom exhaust system, a Ron Davis radiator, upgraded rear knuckles, bushings, trailing arm brackets, camber brackets, a 30mm front sway bar, coilover suspension, Brembo brakes, a Hurst shifter, an FX suspension control module, and a cold air intake. The CARFAX report includes two service history records, the most recent showing a fuel pump and vehicle speed sensor replaced in 2020.
This sale will include the original owner's manuals, key sets, a dyno sheet, a featured magazine artricle, and a clean title.

I live in Sylmar Ca. 91342! The car doesn't have a fire extinguisher! The dyno horse power is at the rear wheels. I also have two car covers, and a life-time oil filter. Extra fluids are also provided!
Front tires appear to be mounted in the wrong direction.
Cool car, GLWA
Looks great!
