Available for auction is this 1993 Cadillac Allanté finished in Dark Polo Green Metallic over a beige leather interior. Introduced as the halo car in Cadillac’s model range, the Allanté aimed to compete with luxury roadsters from Mercedes-Benz and Jaguar. The body was designed and manufactured by Pininfarina in Italy, which upon completion was flown to Detroit and mated to its running gear. This final year example was acquired by the seller about a year ago and features a 4.6L Northstar V8 engine, a removable aluminum hardtop, full power accessories, and ‘Symphony Sound’ stereo with CD and cassette players. Marking a unique chapter in Cadillac’s history, this Allanté roadster is now being offered for auction by its seller out showing just over 23k miles on the odometer.
The Pininfarina bodywork comes finished in Dark Polo Green Metallic with a black retractable soft top and a removable painted aluminum hardtop. For its final model year, the Allanté received a deeper front spoiler and single-piece side windows. This example rides on a set of factory 16″ aluminum wheels with Cadillac-crest center caps and Cooper tires. The exterior is described to have been very well preserved and the power soft top is noted to be fully functional, although the latches for the hardtop fail to lock in place. Additional images can be found in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin comes trimmed in beige leather with matching carpets and burl wood veneers. Fitting of a top-of-the-line luxury car, this Allanté came equipped with a premium ‘Symphony Sound’ stereo as well as CD and cassette players, cruise control, electronic climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, power seats, windows and door locks, a locking glove box and center console, and “Twilight-Sentinel'' automatic headlamps.
For its final model year, the Allanté received a larger 4.6L Northstar DOHC V8 engine which was rated at up to 295 HP and 290 ft-lb of torque. The front wheels are driven by way of a 4T80E 4-speed automatic transmission. In addition to the larger engine, the 1993 Allanté received a host of upgrades including a new unequal-length control arm rear suspension with an active damper management system as well as revised disc brakes and variable-assist power steering. The CARFAX report shows rear shock absorbers were replaced in 2006, and the seller states an oil and filter service was carried out under their ownership.
This sale will include the original owner's manual, a set of keys, a removable hardtop, and a clean title. Combining Italian design and classic American luxury, the Allanté is one of the most unique cars of its era.

@palmerd27 Car is well looked after from previous owner and under our ownership. We don't see any droplets underneath the car at all and it's been on that spot a entire winter already. Thank you for your interest.
Always admired these cars, but they have fallen out of favor. Hopefully a future collector car and meanwhile fun to drive with the top down. The Cad V8 was also prone to leaking from the oil pan due to a design defect. I do need to know if this car leaks oil to bid any higher.
