We are pleased to present this 1992 Porsche 968 6-speed finished in an incredibly rare combination of Maritime Blue over a grey leather interior with cloth seat inserts. Said to be one of only 8 examples factory finished in Maritime Blue, this 968 was purchased by its current owner from a seller in California 2 years ago before undergoing a major mechanical service. Now showing approximately 142k miles on the odometer, this stunning 968 remains in excellent driving condition just waiting to be enjoyed by a new owner.
The rarely seen Maritime Blue finish is said to be in great condition with some minor imperfections. A ding has been indicated on the driver’s side rear quarter panel and a small bubble is also noted on the passenger side near the windshield, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery. Exterior features include an electrically operated sunroof, pop-up headlights and a rear window wiper. This 968 rides on OEM C2 5-spoke alloy wheels which come dressed in brand new Continental Extreme Contact tires.
Inside, this 968 sports a grey leather interior with rare “PORSCHE” logo cloth seat inserts. The cabin is stated to be in great shape with some minor dashboard cracks and a small tear on the driver’s seat bolster as could be seen in the photo gallery. An aftermarket head unit is installed which is currently inoperable, however, all other gauges, electrical components and accessories remain fully functional.
A naturally aspirated 3.0 L inline 4-cylinder engine sends 236 HP to the rear wheels by way of a desirable 6-speed manual transmission making for a 0-60 time of approximately 6 seconds. The seller notes that a cam chain and tensioner pad service was performed by the previous owner at 129k miles. Within the last two years, an engine reseal was performed along with the replacement of the timing/balance shaft belts and rollers, accessory belts, filters and gaskets. Additional items addressed include:
New brake lines and brake sensors were also installed by the current owner along with a brake fluid flush and wheel alignment last year. With many important maintenance items already addressed, this 968 is said to be in great running order.
The sale of this 968 will include one master key, service records, the original books, tools, jack and spare tire. Presented in an extremely rare and desirable color combination, this 968 is sure to intrigue any avid Porsche enthusiast.

@bigfootgarage Hi, thanks for your question. AC is functional, the compressor spins when AC is on. 968 AC's were never known to freeze their occupants :)
Stunner, indeed!!! Seller, would you describe AC as nonfunctional, ok, or same as modern car?-thank you!!!

I have had the pleasure of owning this car for the last two yrs. It’s been my honor to sort it to its current condition. Every time I look at her, it makes me smile. Truly a very special car. Unfortunately I have too many projects and not enough space to keep this special car, hence it being listed for auction.
Amazing 968! This color is so special. Most of the manual coupe survivors you see are red.
I've owned a few of these and they are by far my favorite 4 cylinder front engine Porsche. In contrast to the 944, the 968 was produced in the Zuffenhausen Porsche factory, where they were producing the 930. The build quality was just superb, and with a limited run of just 2,234 North American coupes ever made, these are sure to be on many collectors want list very soon. In fact, Autoweek just listed the 968 as one of the top 5 car of the 1990's that you should be buying right now. A little TLC on this one and you've got yourself a stunner. You can daily it AND take to car meets. Awesome ride. GLWTA!
