Offered by Porsche’s Exclusive Department during the 1992 model year, the X33 Werksleistungssteigerung (WLS) Package was an optional powerkit for the 911 Turbo’s 3.3-liter engine providing up to 355 HP.  This Porsche 964 Turbo is one of the very few cars to have been equipped with the X33 option and was originally specified for delivery in Germany. It features black leather upholstery and heated Sport Seats as well as optional lowered suspension. Also bearing the signature of Porsche motorsport legend Walter Röhrl on its fuel door, this incredibly rare 964 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Georgia while showing approximately 171k kilometers (106k miles) on the odometer.

Compared to a contemporary 964 Carrera, the Turbo model features wider fenders, bumpers, and dual exhaust outlets as well as a characteristic “Tea Tray” rear spoiler. This example is finished in Guards Red and includes European (RoW) side marker lights, a rear window wiper, an electric sunroof, and factory 17” Cup wheels dressed in newer Michelin tires. The seller adds that the inner fuel door is personally signed by Walter Röhrl, the senior test driver for Porsche’s road cars and one of the most celebrated names in rally racing history.

The cabin is appointed with black leather including optional heated and power-operated Sport Seats. A modern Porsche Classic (PCCM) stereo has been installed and factory features include air conditioning, power windows and mirrors, central locking, cruise control, cassette storage, and a tachometer-integrated digital computer display.  The seller states that the interior presents beautifully with the carpets, seats, headliner, door panels, steering wheel, and leather-wrapped dash remaining in excellent condition. All gauges, lights, switches, and indicators are said to be fully functional as well as the air-conditioning system.

Power comes from a turbocharged and intercooled 3.3-liter flat-six engine paired with a 5-speed G50 manual gearbox that drives the rear wheels. The optional X33 powerkit includes enlarged inlet and exhaust ports, modified camshafts, a revised intake manifold, and specialized valve timing for an output of 355 HP compared to the standard 964 Turbo engine’s 320 HP. This example was also equipped with an optional lowered suspension (X36) from the factory. A collection of German maintenance records is included as well as a stamped dealer service booklet showing consistent mileage entries. Notable items include a clutch replacement in 2019 and a cam reseal in 2012.

This sale will include a clean title.

Good morning -- we're standing by for any last minute questions -- feel free to comment here or by using the contact seller button -- happy to accommodate a FaceTime or other virtual showing here on the final day! This is a remarkably clean example that presents in person consistent with the photos. And of course with the factory WLS X33 package, it's one of only 192 produced.

@vengerider I just added photos of the paint meter readings to the gallery. The paint meters as original on both doors, both rear quarters and on the engine lid. The meter indicates a repaint on the hood, fenders and roof (although the sunroof panel itself still meters as original paint). The color and finish match are both excellent.

Hi, everyone -- thanks in advance for your interest in this 964 Turbo -- only 192 were ordered with the WLS "Factory Power Increase" X33 option, making this among the rarest 964 variants. Feel free to comment here or use the contact seller button if you have any questions!
