Introduced in 1991 as Porsche's flagship 911 model, the 964 Turbo, also known as the "965," boasted distinctive wide bodywork and the iconic Tea Tray rear spoiler. It was powered by an enhanced and refined version of the 930's reliable 3.3-liter engine. It was offered for two years, and this example is one of only 289 cars imported to North America for the 1992 model year. It comes finished in Guards Red over a Cashmere Beige supple leather interior and features optional power seats, a sunroof, and a limited-slip differential. Said to have passed between private collections over the past 20 years, this 964 Turbo was purchased by the current owner in 2020 and is now being offered for auction out of Arizona with under 18k miles showing on the odometer.
Compared to the 964 Carrera models, the Turbo features wider bumpers and fenders with a distinctive Tea Tray rear spoiler over the decklid. This example is finished in Guards Red and rides on factory 17” Cup Design wheels with new tires mounted with the last 2k miles. Other equipment includes fog lights, headlamp washers, dual power mirrors, an electric sunroof, twin exhaust outlets, and black Porsche-branded brake calipers. The seller describes the exterior to be in excellent overall condition, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The Cashmere Beige leather interior features power-adjustable supple leather seats, matching Turbo-logo floor mats, and a black four-spoke steering wheel. Other accessories include power windows, automatic climate control, cruise control, a central locking system, and an updated Porsche Classic (PCCM) head unit. The seller indicates the A/C compressor was recently replaced and all gauges and accessories are fully functional.
The 964 Turbo is equipped with an enhanced version of the 930's turbocharged 3.3-liter flat-six engine, featuring an upgraded air intake and exhaust, updated Bosch Motronic programming, a 50% larger intercooler, and an improved K27 turbocharger with a maximum boost of 0.7 bar. This setup delivers a factory-rated output of 315 HP and 332 lb.-ft of torque, which is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 5-speed G50 manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The seller states all maintenance has been kept up to date.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, an air pump, a car cover, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “I am selling my 1992 964 Turbo. It is Guards Red with Beige full supple leather. This car has been living in collections for the past 20 years, which is why it only has 17,600 miles. We have had the car since 2020. I have a binder with records covering 2008 – Present. The car is as close to perfect as a 30-year-old car can be. It is completely stock and runs perfectly. This will be a $500k car in a few years. Let me know if you have any questions. I encourage you to come see it in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Thanks, Josh”

Hello everyone. I am standing by for any last minute questions. Don't hesitate to ask and thank you all for watching and bidding!
Bid in the amount of $172,000
I bought one of these in 1991 and drove it from the dealership in Atlanta directly to Little Talladega for a PCA DE. Had never driven on a road course before. This is the car that got both, my wife and me, hooked on racing Porsches. We’ve had many other Porsches, but none of them gave us the smile this one produced when the turbo would kick in. Beautiful example.
Bid in the amount of $170,000
Thank you that completes the whole picture. GLWA
The front of the car has PPF covering the entire front end and mirrors.
@JCLautosport Paint meter readings uploaded as promised. I’m looking forward to you placing the winning bid.

@JCLautosport I do want this car but my wife would kill me. I just bought a 69 Camaro 2 days ago.
I will have them here as soon as possible.
So less than 2 days to go and still no full paint meter readings. @jayzway thanks for taking the time to personally see the car. Your bid will help confirm it’s condition..
I just took a look at this car tonight and drove with the seller. This is a beautiful car in amazing condition. Looks and drives like it is new.

I will try to meter the paint tomorrow evening. I have to retrieve my paint meter. We did have the car metered before we purchased it, so I am not expecting any surprises.
Bid in the amount of $100,000
Beautiful and Rare Porsche
Good Morning. As promised, I have uploaded photos of the two keys, the original books as well as all of the records I have.
Thanks!

With 10 previous owners from AZ to NY and states in-between, and partially under paint film, it looks extremely clean around the fresh looking stickers, so I'd have to question whether it's seen paint.
The wheels appear to have been refinished. Even a careful 18K miles it would be impossible to not pick up stone chips if not curb rash.
Paint meter readings around the surfaces on and off the PPF should identify any paint and panel work.
There should also be the customary "stack of receipts", service records and details on the previous work.
There's one or two question marks on the photos. I'd really like to see more detailed photos of all four corners, the suspension, with the carpets removed from the frunk, etc.
The cabin looks to be consistent with the purported usage, though a turbo missing the sports seats is a disappointment.
After 30 years on the road, the 18K miles would suggest a meticulously maintained garage queen. It's detailed and tidy with commensurate wear and tear, the telltale points of the driver's seat, the gearshift, the parking brake handle, all seem to be singing the same song. The engine is commendably showing road miles, not a recent steam clean or dry-ice cleaning. There's a conspicuous dent in the exhaust cross pipe, but that's easily rectified. The engine really needs to show receipts for maintenance and the usual gremlins that creep into the engine bay.
For the auction process to pursue the kind of asking price the 964 turbo 3.3 merits, bidding requires documentation.
Thanks,

I have no record of any accidents or bodywork.
Is the fitment of the front bumper and the driver side fender a little off? Has there been any accident upfront?
Bid in the amount of $10,000
We purchased the car from RPM Sportscars in Dallas.
Prior to your purchase where was the car originally sold?
I don’t have the original sticker.
I will post those photos tomorrow night.
@jbwz65. I do have the original tools, books and both keys. I will add photos of them and the binder. I will also meter the paint. I don’t have a COA. Porsche actually doesn’t issue COAs anymore. Now you can get a Porsche Classic Technical Certificate which requires an inspection at a Porsche Classic dealer. I haven’t done that. I did attempt it but the correct technician was not available.
@azjtravels Can you confirm that you have the original tool kit, the manuals, both keys, etc? If so, please also add a photo of them. Also, can you show a photo of the binder that comes with the car and a couple of the most recent service receipts including the last major service that was done? Do you have the Porsche COA or window sticker?
Paint meter readings?
appears to be a near perfect 10, 3 spoke steering wheel would complete it. i am keeping my eye on this !
Gorgeous 964, original paint?
Thank you.
Hello and thank you for taking a look at my incredible 964 Turbo. Please ask me anything and if I know the answer, I will provide it.
Also, the car is in Scottsdale, AZ and anyone is welcome to come see it.
Thanks!
