One of only 309 U.S. market examples produced for the model year, this 1992 Turbo comes finished in a traditional theme of Guards Red over black leather. It was factory optioned with a heated driver’s seat, adjustable lumbar support, and colored wheel center caps. It was acquired by the seller out of a private collection accompanied by maintenance records dating back to 1993 and has since undergone over $43k worth of service and upgrades including a top-end engine rebuild, new Porsche Classic stereo, a new clutch, brake rotors, and genuine 18” Speedline for Porsche wheels. Previously listed on PCARMARKET, this rare 1992 Turbo is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida showing approximately 42k miles on the odometer.
This 964 is finished in Guards Red (G1) and wears Turbo-specific bodywork comprised of wider fenders and a distinctive rear spoiler. It has been recently fitted with a set of new genuine 18” Speedline for Porsche Turbo 3.6 wheels with model-logo center caps and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. The factory-equipped set of 17” Cup Design wheels and colored center caps accompanies the sale as well. The front end and mirror caps have been preserved under clear paint protection film and the finish is described to have been preserved in excellent original condition.
The cabin is trimmed in black leather including optional front seats with adjustable lumbar support and driver’s side heating. Other features include air conditioning, power windows and mirrors, central locking, cruise control, cassette storage, and an onboard computer integrated into the central tachometer. A new Porsche Classic stereo was recently installed which offers Bluetooth, navigation, and satellite radio connectivity. Minor leather shrinkage is noted towards the bottom of the glass on the rear parcel shelf and the seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be working properly.
The air-cooled 3.3L flat-six engine of the 964 Turbo was carried over from its predecessor, the 930, and updated with a larger turbocharger and intercooler as well as revisions to the exhaust, fueling, and ignition systems. As much as 320 HP and 332 lb.-ft of torque are sent to the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed G50/52 manual transmission while stopping power is handled by fixed 4-piston aluminum brake calipers paired with ventilated and cross-drilled rotors. Based on that of the Carrera 2, the suspension of the 964 Turbo was stiffened, refined, and fitted with 21mm front and 22mm rear anti-roll bars. The ABS system for the Turbo was also revised for optimal performance. A full top-end engine rebuild is said to have been completed within the last 1k miles along with replacement of the clutch, brake rotors, and battery. Additional service records date back to 1993 with extensive preventative maintenance completed by the prior owner.
This sale will include the set of original Cup Design wheels, owner’s manuals, service records, and a clean title.

@OnePorscheGuy because it is unfair to the high bidder, this is why we advise not to wait until there are only a few seconds left. With 2 min and 15 sec to bid, there is ample time for the bidder to report an issue before the clock runs out which enables us to be of more help. No one is happy when this happens, however, we have to follow rules and protocol to keep things fair for everyone.
Not sure why you wouldn't reopen the bidding if the owner could potentially see more money
Clearly something wrong with your system. I have seen this happen on your competitions sight and they value and listen to their customers.
Sold for $217,964
I'm running brand new computers so there is no issue That's the business we are in Your screen went grey scale and I wasn't able to refresh or anything .
@OnePorscheGuy there are no outages or issues on the side of PCARMARKET, if there were we would be forced to extend the auction, the issue is on your side and we feel terrible when it happens but our protocol has our hands tied in this case

@FLPcar Thank you for the quick response. Will you please publish the major service receipt so we can see exactly what was done in the car/engine? Thanks
@Jbwz65 I have the spare key with a new key head I just purchased. The photos 97 & 100, I believe you are noticing the residual glue along the edge of the weatherstrip. Thank you
Do you have the spare keys only the one shown? Also, in photos 97 and 100 there appears to be some paint damage or corrosion where the weather stripping meets the car, can you expand on that or show additional photos?

A 33k mile 92 Turbo sold on BAT in December for $176k. It will be fun to watch this one and see if the market has moved in either direction. Beautiful car!
