One of only 309 U.S. market examples produced for the model year, this 1992 Turbo comes finished in a traditional theme of Guards Red over black leather. It was factory optioned with a heated driver’s seat, adjustable lumbar support, and colored wheel center caps. It was acquired by the seller out of a private collection accompanied by maintenance records dating back to 1993 and has since undergone over $43k worth of service and upgrades including a top-end engine rebuild, new Porsche Classic stereo, a new clutch, brake rotors, and genuine 18” Speedline for Porsche wheels. Showing approximately 41k miles on the odometer, this rare 1992 Turbo is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.
This 964 is finished in Guards Red (G1) and wears Turbo-specific bodywork comprised of wider fenders and a distinctive rear spoiler. It has been recently fitted with a set of new genuine 18” Speedline for Porsche Turbo 3.6 wheels with model-logo center caps and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. The factory-equipped set of 17” Cup Design wheels and colored center caps accompanies the sale as well. The front end and mirror caps have been preserved under clear paint protection film and the finish is described to have been preserved in excellent original condition.
The cabin is trimmed in black leather including optional front seats with adjustable lumbar support and driver’s side heating. Other features include air conditioning, power windows and mirrors, central locking, cruise control, cassette storage, and an onboard computer integrated into the central tachometer. A new Porsche Classic stereo was recently installed which offers Bluetooth, navigation, and satellite radio connectivity. Minor leather shrinkage is noted towards the bottom of the glass on the rear parcel shelf and the seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be working properly.
The air-cooled 3.3L flat-six engine of the 964 Turbo was carried over from its predecessor, the 930, and updated with a larger turbocharger and intercooler as well as revisions to the exhaust, fueling, and ignition systems. As much as 320 HP and 332 lb.-ft of torque are sent to the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed G50/52 manual transmission while stopping power is handled by fixed 4-piston aluminum brake calipers paired with ventilated and cross-drilled rotors. Based on that of the Carrera 2, the suspension of the 964 Turbo was stiffened, refined, and fitted with 21mm front and 22mm rear anti-roll bars. The ABS system for the Turbo was also revised for optimal performance. A full top-end engine rebuild is said to have been completed within the last 1k miles along with replacement of the clutch, brake rotors, and battery. Additional service records date back to 1993 with extensive preventative maintenance completed by the prior owner.
This sale will include the set of original Cup Design wheels, owner’s manuals, service records, and a clean title.

I know this car and the seller very well. The car is immaculate and one of the best examples that I have seen. The seller is a perfectionist and when he buys a car he immediately brings it to the next level so that is is the best of the best. I know with this car that didn’t take much as it was in pristine condition when he acquired it. Good luck to the bidders, you won’t be disappointed.
Perfect thank you
@Plancaster To better clarify; the car was fully inspected with me present. The bottom line; the car now needs nothing. It is in absolutely outstanding condition, both mechanically and cosmetically.
@FLPcar ?
@Plancaster I knew the car, my Porsche technician knew the car (for years), I had my technician go thru it as well as myself . So no written PPI as I witnessed it.
@FLPcar thanks for the additional information. Have you had a true PPI evaluation done on the vehicle if so could you share. Thanks again
@Plancaster Although it has had many owners, (of which it appears some re-registrations were of the same owner) I have to call them all caretakers. The Turbos were typically treated like royalty and many not used often. This special Turbo has been extremely well cared for throughout its life. I also had the car gone thru from top to bottom and addressed the minor items to bring it to perfection. (See the spreadsheet on the photos). Thank you.

@FLPcar great thanks for the clarification. Anything on the car that stands out that needs attention it looks clean but has had many owners that can possibly pose problems.
@Plancaster The entire front of the car has PPF installed, thus the higher consistent readings . The depth of the PPF plus the paint. No accident damage.
Some big paint depth differences and in key accident areas any signs of why paint is heavy there leads me to think maybe damage is possible.

Just a clarification there were actually 249 US spec 92 turbos imported and an additional 20 turbos sent to ANDIAL to make the turbo S2 variants. Common misunderstanding but Porsche did not use vin numbers 001 to 060. All vins start at 061.
