Designated by the M003 Clubsport option, the Porsche 964 Carrera RS N/GT was created as a competition-ready homologation car for FIA Group N and GT racing. Based on the standard Carrera RS with its seam-welded bodyshell and 3.6-liter M64/03 flat-six engine, the N/GT is further optimized with an aluminum hood, thinner glass windows, a welded Matter roll cage, a stripped interior, Recaro racing seats, a fire suppression system, and a stiffer lowered suspension. This 1992 example is one of 290 Carrera RS N/GT versions produced and is believed to be among only 38 that came factory-finished in Rubystone Red. It was delivered new to AMAG import in Switzerland on May 4th, 1992, and remained in Switzerland until 2014 when it was exported to the U.K. Following this, it spent time in Germany until it was imported to the U.S. in July of 2022. Supported by a binder of documentation, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and a recent service by the Classic Center at Porsche Monterey, this rare Carrera RS N/GT is now being offered for auction out of California with under 15k kilometers (9k miles) on the odometer.
The N/GT shares its special seam-welded bodyshell with the standard Carrera RS and features an aluminum hood, thinner glass window, and factory-rolled fenders. This example is finished in Rubystone Red with matching font brake duct inserts and rides on magnesium 17” Cup wheels dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires dated from 2021 and 2022. The seller notes the exterior remains in excellent overall condition and exhibits consistent paint meter readings.
The M003 Clubsport option includes a lightweight interior devoid of carpeting, sound insulation, rear seats, power windows, air conditioning, or a stereo system. It provides a fully welded Matter roll cage, Nomex Recaro bucket seats, 6-point safety harnesses, a kill switch, a fire suppression system, and lightweight door panels.
Derived from the standard Carrera RS, the N/GT version carries a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter M64/03 flat-six engine featuring hand-matched pistons and cylinders, solid rubber mounts, a lightweight singles mass flywheel, and revised ECU programming. Up to 260 HP and 240 lb.-ft of torque is sent to the rear wheels through a close-ratio G50/10 5-speed manual transaxle with a racing clutch and a ZF asymmetric limited-slip differential. The suspension is lower than the standard Carrera RS and includes stiffer Bilstein shocks, larger adjustable anti-roll bars, and ball joints instead of rubber bushings. Stopping power comes from four-piston brakes paired with cross-drilled rotors borrowed from the 911 Turbo. The car was recently serviced by the Classic Center at Porsche Monterey and the seller notes some oil seepage from the engine.
This sale will include a toolkit, a spare tire, an air pump, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This car is in exceptional condition and would be a cornerstone to any collection and trophy at any concourse event. It’s not often that a car of this model, color, and low odometer reading comes to market.”

@zweck . flywheel huh... Good save lol. Anyway lets not make this auction about zwecks shady dealings. Like I said before. These cars are awesome cars, especially NGT's. Depends what your idea of a 9k mile should be, but I would bid on this car based on how rare these are. How high? That depends on what Im going to do with it. If you have the money get it!!!

It is not unusual for buyers of these cars to utilize them for track use…in fact many in Europe were used as track cars. Folks in Europe often repaint cars due to the chips and road rash which is inescapable if you track a car. Rubystone may be a difficult paint to match perfectly and with a car with such low mileage they may have just wanted it perfect. I guess it reduces the value to some extent but hate to see it be such a big issue
I may be mistaken, but I think this car has an additional center console toggle, mounted upside down, where a 964 C4 traction control toggle switch is normally located. Can anyone shed some light on its purpose?
ZWECK was wonderful in the dealings with this car for me. It came from a reputable dealer in Germany as well. Ultimately the car was too nice and I wasn’t driving it because of that. I have a higher mileage 993 RS (factory AC car) I drove a lot more and didn’t worry about as much. I sold some other of my cars as well during this time. The car was not “redone” by Zweck.
It’s hard to find even one stone chip on this NGT! I always assumed the car was sprayed to make it perfect. The paint job on this car is wonderful. It probably was peppered up a bit before the respray. Common with NGT’s. There is a ton of paperwork with this car and defiantly some OCD previous owners.
Owning, experiencing and driving this car you understand why the Porsche 911 is such a special vehicle.
I'm intrigued to see the outcome of the auction. The earliest photos I have of this car are from 2014, when it was for sale in Switzerland. This is the point at which it was registered on the database. I've seen the car in the flesh a few times, although never scrutinised it in detail. I agree with the comments questioning why such a low mileage car would need a full repaint. Also wondering why a few of the earlier questions from potential bidders regarding seats, wheels, and option sticker, have not been addressed by the seller. I do know that, while in the UK, the owner at the time ran the car on replica Cup 1 wheels, but did have the original mags. Hope this helps.
Stepping in to provide clarity on this 964 RS NGT and to rebuke claims directly against our business, Zweck.
Our history with this car began in March 2022. A customer of ours (well known and respected in the Porsche community) was on the hunt for a Ruby 964 NGT and together we located this example in Germany.
A colleague and Porsche specialist in Europe traveled to inspect it in-person; the car presented beautifully and met our expectations with consistent mileage, documentation, and history. We acknowledged the existing paintwork and proceeded with purchase and export. The NGT was imported to the USA and it arrived in June 2022. We were extremely pleased with the car, as was the new owner, when it was delivered to him a couple weeks later.
After enjoying the car for more than a year, our customer decided the car was too nice for him to drive and use for his intended purposes, so it was shipped back to Zweck to sell. It sold earlier this summer to the current owner, for whom Porsche Monterey is listing on PCM. It is an excellent car, and while not original paint—very original otherwise with all of the benefits of low mileage.
Contrary to what @Vahamiryan stated, the car was not “redone” by us in any way—neither before the first USA owner took delivery, or prior the most recent sale.
@Vahamiryan purchased a higher mileage 964 RS from our dealership last year — one of the most inexpensive Maritime RSs recently listed— as a supposed donor to build a 964 RS 3.8 clone. Upon delivery to him, he was unsatisfied with some items on the car (primarily a “chattering flywheel”). As a matter of goodwill, we immediately offered to buy the car back incl. cross-country shipping both ways. He preferred to keep the car and declined. We ultimately sent a wire to cover warranty repairs at a Porsche franchise dealership ($12K).
Bid in the amount of $177,000
@Vahamiryan oddly enough I know and have driven the Gooding auction car after it was serviced when purchased. It is a great car to drive and as literally an action figure that was shrink wrapped while still being in its original packaging, but now shows a little over 100 miles on the od . It drove beautifully and operated in a very lightweight balance Porsche as you would imagine an RS should compared to my 73rs light weight would after 25+ years of development. And that car is an n/gt car with Maritime Blue paint with ac that just blows air no condenser unit like the original 73rs lightweights do.
But when it comes to why it was painted, makes no sense with 9k miles. Almost all Porsches have better value with original paint and makes me wonder why it was painted.
@Vintage_Driver . Anyone that knows or does business in the used exotic car market, knows that Zweck does some shady stuff.
However the seller is correct in stating that these cars are rare especially the NGT's, as far as 9k miles goes... just look at the shifter. Absolutely no reason to respray a 9k mile car.
It all depends on how you picture a 9k mile car is supposed to be. There are tell tell signs
@seller. The car that did 600k plus was a touring version with electric windows, a/c and so on. Also that car was a true 55 mile car. I own a 1 of 1 NGT Macau and I couldn't even come close to that 600k number . Just saying... GLWS sir!
Vintage_Driver, the car shows no signs at all of accidents or replacement parts other than general maintenance items. We are a Porsche Classic dealership and have built many classics and compete annually in the Porsche Restoration Challenge, this car would compete amongst the best in terms of overall condition.
Hi, I talked to the zweck guys a while ago when they had the car, they told me it was repainted but never disclosed if the car was in an accident or if any of the body panels were replaced. Do you know if it’s been in an accident or had parts replaced?
Hi all, just one day left on our Ruby Stone 964RS. This car is an all matching number, well sorted out and extremely low mileage example. These seldom come available, especially State side and in sought after colors like Ruby Stone. This car has a very reasonable reserve considering a low mileage example sold at Gooding this past Spring for 637,000. Lastly this car is very available for viewing and inspection.
the rivets on the vin plate are wrong. so it was removed, repainted and reinstalled. there's paint on the bolt picture 52. Quite a bit of rigamarole on this car
Hello seller. Any chance you can post close ups of the seat brackets and anything else that can support the fact that these seats are true recarros? Also, all the wheels that have the magnesium clearly stated on them? Thank you for your time.
Vahamiran.. no doubt whatsoever it’s been completely repainted. You are totally correct re. original and correct paint meter readings. NGT’s I’ve always seen lower meter readings than on the non NGT cars. Same applies to Cup cars. In any event I’m no longer interested in this car. Only interested in all original RS.
@momotime you're right. I have one of the NGT's and my readings on the car are between 2.9 and 3.6. NGT cars have thinner coat of paint vs the regular RS's . This car was redone by ZWECK in Florida, and having previous experience with that company, Im convinced that this car needs eyballs on it before purchase if you want to keep it original, if not it's still a killer ride
Hi, are the seats original or aftermarket? Can you post the options code sticker if still available?
Bid in the amount of $175,722
Unfortunately based on paint meter readings appears to be a total repaint.
Collector car of collector cars!
This would definitely star in my collection.
Where is the car currently titled?
@92UScup since these were grey market cars and never imported into the US, you would have to check with your State to see what are the requirments. I can confirm this car could not be registered as a California car. Montana registration would be something to look into here.
Bid in the amount of $175,000
Is this street legal? NJ?
Beautiful RS. Looking forward to more information on it.
Bid in the amount of $172,722
@bphillyer @bphillyer, This car has never been previously listed with PCar.
Hi All,
Welcome to our auction for a very special car that seldom comes to market. As most are aware, these very rare cars were never imported to the States, so to find one, especially in this condition, low odometer reading, and Ruby Stone, just makes it that much more special. We do appreciate the early questions and bidding. We will be uploading the supporting binder of documents, paint readings and a driving video. The car is available every day on display on our showroom for viewing and inspection.
Please, more documentation! Thank you.
Hi There All,
What a beauty!
I was just wondering, has this car been on PCar before now? It’s beautiful, and it looks familiar. GLWS!
OK - I'll start...is there any documentation that you can share that documents the odometer readings over the course of its lifetime? Also, any comment on the originality of the paint supported by paint meter readings? Any past accident damage to speak of? Was it a track car at some point? Thanks in advance...
