Born from the Carrera Cup racing series and offered exclusively in the European market, the Porsche 964 Carrera RS was a limited-production lightweight performance model featuring increased engine output, shorter gear ratios, track-oriented suspension, and a special seam-welded bodyshell. Of the 2,282 Carrera RS models produced, only 76 were configured as Touring versions (M002) with additional luxury features including soundproofing, undersealing, standard door panels, and Turbo-derived Sport Seats with unique multi-color centers. This 1992 example comes finished in Black and features additional luxury options including air conditioning, headlamp washers, and an electric sunroof. Having been cared for by its original owner in Portugal, this rare Carrera RS Touring is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California showing approximately 55,500 kilometers or 34,400 miles on the odometer.
The Carrera RS body was manufactured using a special seam-welding technique and utilizes an aluminum front bonnet, thinner glass windows, a lightweight rear bumper design, and aero-style mirrors borrowed from the 911 Turbo. In contrast to the basic Carrera RS, the Touring variant came with factory-applied body undercoating and received the 10-year anti-corrosion warranty associated with the standard 964 models. This example is finished in Black and rides on factory 17" Cup Design magnesium alloy wheels dressed in new Michelin PS2 tires. The seller notes the hood, partial left front fender, and rear decklid were refinished under the original owner’s care to address minor parking imperfections and the front bumper was just recently refinished to match. Additional images are provided in the gallery.
Inside, the Carrera RS Touring gains standard door panels with handles and power window switches as well as cabin sound insulation, electric mirrors, central locking, an alarm, a heated rear window, and a full stereo system. Accordingly, the Touring model equips a standard 72 AH alternator and a larger battery to support its accessories. Other features include electrically adjustable Sport Seats with multi-color striped inserts, red seatbelts, and an original Blaupunkt Toronto SQR 46 radio. This example also includes additional luxury options such as an electric sunroof, air conditioning, headlamp washers, and a top-tinted windscreen.
The Carrera RS utilizes an upgraded version of the 964’s 3.6-liter M64 engine featuring carefully matched pistons and cylinders, solid rubber mounts, a lightweight singles mass flywheel, and revised ECU programming. An output of approximately 260 HP is sent to the rear wheels through a close-ratio 5-speed G50 manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential. The low RS-spec suspension includes stiffer rate springs, Bilstein dampers, and adjustable anti-roll bars at the front and rear. The front brakes are derived from the 911 Turbo and cross-drilled ventilated discs are fitted at each corner. The seller states the air conditioning system was recently serviced in Lisbon, Portugal, and there are no outstanding maintenance items at this time.
This sale will include some documentation, a clean title, the original owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, an air pump, and a car cover.

@Apexhntr your RS is a real Porsche, the Singer is an overpriced backdate hot rod in my opinion. Your car will always have a net worth.

I have a GP White 964 RS Touring. Of the ten or more 2 door Porsches I have owned it is my absolute favorite! If you could have just one 911 period....this is the one! This is like a factory "Singer". Classic looks with all the factory upgrades yet comfortable seats and very importantly A/C. The hardest part is keeping the miles low because you will have a very hard time finding anything you like to drive more than this. GLWS.

@airkuhl993 thanks. I guess add import and shipping and inspection for seller for his basis.
@Lottacars 275k EUR.
@racer355 Also I’m probably out of my league trying to buy a car with me having far less knowledge. Again, appreciate your insights.
@airkuhl993 also you say “significant paint work”. If you think the items mentioned in my description are significant (!) I recommend just not to buy it. The paintwork was clearly described and the reasons for the paintwork were also clearly described.
@airkuhl993 ok firstly look at image 143 clearly showing history and yes I bought the car from him in Portugal! You say you have been looking for years for a Touring so May I ask why you don’t own one! Plenty of time and possibilities but perhaps you are better at commenting than bidding? Also your remarks re. fender fit issues is totally ridiculous and totally untrue. Zero paint work on both fenders and no sign of previous repairs as you insinuate. But I recommend instead of commenting you should hire an expert to personally inspect the car instead of making such incorrect and ridiculous comments. I will gladly pick anyone you send up at the local airport and show him the car. Or maybe because you are such an expert you should come!
@racer355 Thanks Very good comments. Appreciated.
@Lottacars I should probably disregard this in total at this point, because I am not hear to police the site, but, here is my 2cents...
Why not do your own due diligence and not count what the seller could have into the car. Market value is market value, if you are indeed a buyer, why not bid within your confort zone?!?
I can tell you, I have sold several 964 RS's over the years and I think the value today is anywhere from $190k for beyond mediocre to $375k should you find an RS with special color or options that are rare, such as the sunroof and air conditioning in this case. I have sold these RS's to clients in Texas and if you want top enjoy it in the season, boy, ac is an added advantage while still having a rare Porsche RS.
What is rare about this RS is the fact there were a handful of lightweight RS's, that were optioned with amenities that only add weight, but in this case make this 964 RS more valuable because it is not the norm.
We will see in two days time, I know how much I will bid to and which is within my comfort zone, not just for current, but more so, future market value. Always a gamble when your crystal ball gets foggy :)
@airkuhl993 thanks for the insight. What was listing price in euros?
I have been looking for a 964 RS Touring for a few years and have seen just about all that have come to market or have been offered off market.
This car was recently listed out of Madrid by Autotrade. Just as a matter of fact, in case someone wants to understand the exact provenance of where the car has been. Not casting any aspersions, just didn't see that listed here.
From my inspection of the car, it did have quite a few exterior blemishes and significant paint work. The rear right and left taillights are not flush with the fenders and significant gaps are seen. Images in Gallery clearly show this.
The sunroof option is extremely rare.
GLWS.
As was clearly stated in the description the original long time original owner was the individual who painted the front hood, left fender and rear deck lid. See below.. NO accidents just stone chips and minor issue to make the car better and it was done professionally and excellent. ...Begin forwarded message:

Dear David
There was no "first owner", just the story I told you some time ago..that I was the original owner and ordered the car for myself.
Car had never any accident just some small things when parking, nothing else and
yes some small things were repainted along the years until lets say 10 years
ago..
Nothing more
Warm regards and Merry Christmas

@Lottacars I am not sure that comment was for me, but truth be told, I do know the seller. It is nothing different for me than if the RS was at a live auction such as RM, Gooding, Bonhams, etc. I am in the business, I don’t have a clue what the consignor owns this RS for and to be honest I don’t care. I am intersted because it is the polar opposite to my RS N/GT that has not options or amenities. Oh yes, by the way, if the seller whomever they may be decided to sell at the current price point, I would buy two if two were available. Just wanted to get my skin in the game. How’s that if this was indeed meant for me. Tom P.
I'm the proud owner of pristine '93 C2 CAB and this example is truly awesome. Momotime, you will regret selling this , in time. Cash is ok, but 964's, that increase in value and are bliss to look at and drive, beat cash all day long, no matter what....

Lotta Cars. This one was COMPLETELY repainted. I’m sure you must have seen this result
You must be a buddy. We’ll see where a repainted 964 goes.
We have time until the end, but you will see me there, :)
Happy New Year.

@Lottacars yes paint meter readings are in the images and below it clearly state Montana title.
And are there paint readings? Sorry if you have already provided in the pics.
Any issues getting it titled in the US?

All I can say about this car….Thank you Porsche……great example of what your company is all about….Perfection on Wheels!

@bpcesf No drivers video. The car was taken into the Lisbon Portugal Porsche Dealer prior to air shipment to me and the Service Advisor stated no need for a service. they did recharge the AC which they claimed was the only issue on the car. Also the car just received brand new tires 4x with Michelin Ps2. Date codes are all 2022. The car drives perfectly.
Do you have a driving video? Any history on rebuilds or recent work to the motor?
Yes regarding a US valid Title. Title is being processed and it will be in the Seller’s LLC in Montana.
just want to confirm this car has a clean US title?
Bid in the amount of $200,000
@Nein9 RSA is a very different car more like a stripped C2. RS cars had a differently welded body, lighter hood, glass, lightweight flywheel etc.
If you drive the two back to back you will notice a huge difference in acceleration and stiffness.
yes this car is one of the very few and rare Touring cars that offered AC and a Sunroof and the original owner ordered both. Please remember this is basically a one owner car and the car is a rare black on black with the Tri colored inserted seats. Rare, beautiful and totally "user friendly"!! Bid with confidence the car is amazing.
@bjf the touring with all these options reminds me very much of the RSA. Not many actual differences
Sunroof and AC were options on touring RS models.
The touring is the best 964. All the race car features of the regular RS but with creature comforts like AC and normal sport seats.
The seat inserts are indeed factory.

@Nein9 disregard. I see the picture added. Interesting to see one with a sunroof. Looking forward to the auction !
Do you have a COA with the car? I haven’t seen any tourings with a sunroof as I thought all Euro models did not have that option available? Thank you
Did the seats come like that from the factory? Or are the seat centers after market?
Just a Great lookin Ride !!
