The 964 coupe is considered by many to be one of the most desirable of all air-cooled Porsche models.  This 1992 Porsche 964 Coupe up for auction represents a true example of what is so special about this generation 911.  Featuring a rarely-seen interior, recent engine service, and well-kept exterior, this Carrera is sure to grab the attention of Porsche lovers.  The car is said to have spent its life in Maryland before being purchased by the current owner.  It is now being offered out of Monterey, CA in turn-key condition showing 54k miles on the odometer.

The Grand Prix white paint is stated to be in excellent condition with little signs of road going wear.  The photo gallery shows a true representation of this vehicle's exterior condition.  According to paint meter readings, this vehicle retains its original paint aside from a respray of the passenger side quarter panel.  All body panels are stated original and there are no signs of any accidents which is backed up by a clean Carfax report.  Currently installed are factory C2 5-spoke Cup wheels that wear a set of Dunlop Direzza tires.

Upon opening the door of this Carrera, you will notice the highly desirable and rarely-seen red full leather interior.  It is said to be in exceptional condition with minimal wear. The seller emphasizes that the seat bolsters are showing well-below average wear for the vehicle's age. All electronics are in working order including the upgraded 993 model head unit and factory sunroof.

This 964 retains its original 3.6L M64 engine that produces 247HP and is connected to a 5-speed manual transmission.  From the factory, this car was ordered with limited slip differential and automatic cruise control.  Additionally, a K&N air filter has been installed within the past few years.  This car boasts an excellent running engine with a major service recently performed including:

  • Clutch kit
  • Replaced flywheel and dual mass configuration
  • Alternator shroud
  • Replaced fluids
  • Wiper blades
  • Fuel pump assembly
  • Distributor cap/rotor
  • Valve cover gasket set
  • Ignition wire set

The sale will include recent service records, a clean Carfax, two keys, and tool set.

@bimmer993997 right on. The iris blue 993 with hard backs I bought took 2 years to find... part of the fun is the search.

@RyanPafford Don’t agree. For not a lot less you can buy a much worse car. These are worth stepping up for when they are nice. This is not even a step up. At high 80’s to over 90 It’s a discussion not at under 80k. Sorry @joesaddiction

  • RyanPafford (registered bidder) 5 years, 2 monthsago

@MrCabinets18 dealer thinks car sells for $85-100k per phone call. It’s gorgeous and rare but at those numbers I won’t put the miles on it like I feel these Pcars should see.

  • Alharlo (registered bidder) 5 years, 2 monthsago

    @RyanPafford Wow. White flag!!!
Can’t be too far away from the finish line.

@RyanPafford looks too nice to lose over a few bucks. I would think at a dealer this is 80-90k

@jh986s a 964 with only "slight seepage" must be one of the best ones out there hahaha.
Just spoke to one of the guys over there and they don't see that they fixed it. It must have been very "SLIGHT" or else they would have done it during the major of course. The estimate is about $800-$1,300 if it needs done. Let me know if you need anything else.

  • LupoMotors (seller) 5 years, 2 monthsago

@jh986s I will call the shop that did the work this morning and get back to you.

  • jh986s (registered bidder) 5 years, 2 monthsago

On 7/12/19 service there is a note of "seepage at the timing cover", has this been addressed, if not any idea what the cost of this service? Great looking Pcar BTW.

@GBX Good morning, Yes the valve adjustment was done along with the plugs and wires. I don't see a belt change on there so either was changed and didn't get marked down or didn't need to be done I would imagine. Let me know if you need anything else.

  • GBX (registered bidder) 5 years, 2 monthsago

was a valve adjustment done with the recent major service? How about plugs and belts?

  • LupoMotors (seller) 5 years, 2 monthsago

@Milo711 Good afternoon, No we did not do one or see a need for one on the car since the service was done only a couple months ago and the car has driven very little.

  • Milo711 (registered bidder) 5 years, 2 monthsago

Do you have a PPI on the car?
