Delivered new in Canada, this 1992 Porsche 964 Carrera 2 Coupe was acquired by the current owner in 2017 and immediately commissioned as a one-of-a-kind backdate restoration by Olsen Motorsports, at their Chicago creations and restorations facility. The chassis was completely stripped down to a tub, chemically stripped and modified with a carbon-Kevlar roof, widened carbon fiber bodywork, and paired with a bespoke interior. Every single nut and bolt on this car has been reconditioned and zinc plated where applicable. Upgraded Brembo brakes, JRZ suspension, and a 4.0-liter flat-six engine built In-house by the Olsen team with help from LN Engineering. A true no-compromise build with less than 1k miles driven since its completion, this one-of-a-kind 964 backdate is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.

Upon commencement of the restoration, the chassis was disassembled and chemically stripped before the original drip rails and roof were removed in favor of a lightweight carbon-Kevlar panel. In the rear, the panels were widened by about 4” using carbon fiber fender flares mated seamlessly to an early 911-style carbon fiber rear bumper. The front fenders, hood, and front door sections were also replaced with backdated carbon-Kevlar panels. The trim was refinished in hand-brushed nickel including the window moldings, door handles, wipers, and horn grilles. Lighting the way are 9Eleven Raven S LED headlamps with halo DRLs tied into the ignition circuit. One of the more unique additions is an external oil filler port on the rear quarter panel featuring a custom cap styled after an RS Spyder wheel lock. The car wears a one-off blend of metallic purple paint and rides on aftermarket 18” Fuchs wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.

The cabin has been reupholstered in custom black leather and Alcantara including the hand-brushed nickel trim carried from the exterior and diamond-stitching inlays on the seats and door panels. A full suite of custom instrumentation has been fitted in addition to a three-spoke carbon fiber MOMO steering wheel, Focal acoustic insulation, and a high-end sound system with Hertz Mille Pro speakers, JL Audio amplifiers, and a hidden 10” subwoofer. Controlling this audiophile's sound system is a Porsche Classic head unit (PCCM). This 911 also features a proximity key system that unlocks the car and turns on the halo DRLs as you come into its proximity and keyless push to start with a matching hand-brushed nickel button and trim plate.

The air-cooled 4.0-liter flat-six engine was built in-house by OlsenMotorsports featuring a hand-picked LN Engineering rotating assembly, coated pistons, Ninemeister heads, RS Eurospec camshafts, a custom dual exhaust, individual throttle bodies, and MoTeC engine management with a custom wiring harness. Driving the rear wheels is a completely reworked G50 transaxle with a "short stack" gear set ideal for twisty canyon roads or racing through the city. Other upgrades include a Brembo braking system and a custom-tuned JRZ coilover suspension. The seller reports all hardware was replaced with zinc cadmium coated Porsche parts and that the oil and A/C lines have been integrated within the frame rails for a smooth appearance.

Diving deeper into this creation, the Olsen Team lives by the philosophy that all the components unseen are just as important as the ones visible on the exterior. The underbody shown below, a masterpiece just as the topside.

Every nut, bolt, and assembly was vapor blasted and zinc cadmium coated. Any line that carried brake fluid, oil, or fuel was replaced with a brand new genuine Porsche part or a quality custom handmade tig-welded steel line. To mitigate the effects of vibration-induced failures, Wiggins clamps were used throughout. Additionally, every bushing was replaced with sport hardness equivalents.

This sale will include a clean title.

Has this engine been dyno tested? I'm curious about the power and torque levels of a 4.0
    liter air-cooled engine from Olsen.

Hello Pcar bidders! We have uploaded some selections from our 1,500 picture photo album of the build process. This will show the craftsmanship of our staff! One of our company slogans is it is what is under the covers that matters the most. Just check out the rear hubs, New emergency brake hardware was purchased and immediately sent off for Cadnium plating so it matches the rest of the car!
The front tub if you look where the fender mounts they are nut plates with hand set copper rivets instead of a factory through bolt.
Tons of detail in this piece of art that is truly built #olsenspec

    Happy bidding!

Olsen has his own psychiatric diagnosis in the DSM-5.....makes people with OCD look like slobs.

I saw this at show downtown Chicago and the paint alone had to be over $30K. This thing is a piece of jewelry. I also got to be driven by the original owner. It works like it looks and how it was planned. Perfect.

I must have looked at these pictures and the description 20 times and my wife has asked me to go back to surfing porn like I used to LOL.

I don't want to use the S!ng#r comparison as it would be like comparing a hole in one from Tiger Woods to one from Jordan Spieth. Different but the same. I like this more as there will be no other like it.

I love that fact that there are people still out there with this kind of passion and as important skill to do this......thank you.

Candidly this car is exquisite. The finish on the metal trim is reminiscent of an heirloom quality timepiece. I often encounter builds that boldly state that they were a cost no object project. What is immediately clear in the case of this Porsche it was built by folks who genuinely take pride in their craft and love what they do. The quality and attention to detail is not something you find on the open market and would likely require several years of waiting to commission let alone take delivery. Best wishes with the sale and to whomever proves it a future forever home.

I've seen this car up close. The color is stunning, the detail is incredible. Tons of carbon fiber and what looks to be carbon kevlar materials, but subtle, not in your face and everything seemingly has a purpose. It really is stunning. I had this shop build a car for me that I couldn't be happier with....this car is next level.

Phenomenal work as always by this outfit. I’ve personally had multiple builds from them across various models and I can say their attention to detail far surpasses many other shops on the market. Rest assured whomever wins this auction is going to be very happy.
