Finished in Guards Red over a Cashmere Beige interior, this 1992 Porsche 964 Carrera 2 Coupe was acquired by the seller after its drivetrain was removed for a project about a decade ago, and subsequently fitted with a replacement 993 Carrera engine, rebuilt with a Mahle 3.8-liter piston and cylinder kit. The car has also been modified with a 993-sourced 6-speed manual transaxle, a Cerakoted FVD Brombacher dual exhaust system, Bilstein coilovers, slotted brake rotors, RS-style front brake ducts, a fiberglass ducktail spoiler, a MOMO Prototipo steering wheel, houndstooth cloth seat centers, a Rothsport short shifter, and 18” BBS E88 wheels. Delivered new and registered in the U.S. until 2025, this 3.8-powered 964 is now being offered for auction out of Florida with under 43k miles on the odometer, accompanied by a clean Montana title.

@JRMB003 We will try our best to get these before auction end. The car is in storage right now and our client is not in town. Please see the RennPorsche invoice regarding the paint. The shop did a thorough inspection for our client. Thank you!
@nackulous We do not have the BBS caps or original steering wheel. We can source these for the winning bidder if needed
Do you have the BBS center caps and original steering wheel?
Can we see a photo of the options sticker underneath the hood. Also can you show paint meter readings for each panel.

@chuckent I see the confusion now, this is 100% a CarFax error. This car is a Carrera 2. On the registration, it is also written as a 1992 Carrera and not a Carrera 4. Carrera being the “base” C2 variant. We will contact CarFax to get this fixed. Thank you!
Bid in the amount of $62,500
@chuckent that happened to a few cars i bought in the pass Carfax USA always make mistakes with the model. You can call into Carfax to correct it.
@WReiter The owner has a residence in Canada and wanted RennPorsche specifically to do the build. Hope that helps!
Did I miss something, it looks like a Carrera 4
It looks (from the receipts) like the work was done in Canada. Just curious as to why a FL car was sent to Canada for the build.

With the upgraded brakes and the rest this car looks like it has everything one would want to have in a modernized 964. The added HP and tq with better braking is a nice balance. Nicely done.
GL hope this finds the right caretaker.
@kirkdietrick The Mahle kit adds around 35 HP to the 268 HP 993 motor, and the FVD exhaust adds another 30 HP roughly. Our best estimate would be that the car is at around 330 HP now. Thank you!

I see the engine has Mahle pistons added to a 993 3.8L, but did the piston change add any power or is it in line with OEM power/torque specs?
Well this is interesting!
@Davidmcd2018 Rear suspension is Bilstein PSS9 and has power-steering like a 964/993. Hope this helps!
Does this car have power steering similar to a 993 or none similar to a 3.2 car? What rear suspension is on this car? Thanks
@Flsupraguy It has been removed by the previous owner
@cobalt The car has been fitted with standard 993 brakes as well as the booster. Thanks!
@seller I see the brake calipers have been upgraded and it appears the M/C and vacuum booster as well. Can you clarify what was done?
A walk around and a driving video have been added to the listing.
@autosportclassic thank you. Is the cruise control still functional?
Bid in the amount of $40,000

@Gemccalla It has been converted to R134. Thanks!
Does this still have the original r12 refrigerant?
Nice- this car would have saved me a lot of time as the starting point on the custom build im working on, that trans alone is over $20k as an upgrade!

Any undercarriage pictures? Can you post cold start, driving, and walk around videos? Do you have receipts from the engine replacement and maintenance records since the swap was performed? Thanks!
can we get undercarriage pictures?
Sweet build!
Is there any documentation available for the engine swap/rebuild and any dyno test results?
