First developed as a military off-roading vehicle, the legendary Mercedes G-Class became available to consumers in 1979 and has slowly developed into a renowned luxury SUV throughout its 40-plus-year production run. This 1992 Mercedes-Benz 350GD Cabriolet is finished in Blue Black Metallic (9199) over a black leather interior. Features include a 3.5-liter diesel inline-six engine, a black manually operated soft top, a front brush guard, heated seats, and a leather and burred walnut wood-trimmed steering wheel. Said to have been imported from Poland in 2022 and fresh from a recent service, this 350GD Cabriolet is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York while showing approximately 287k kilometers on the odometer.
This two-door 350GD Cabriolet is finished in Blue Black Metallic (9199) with a manually operated black soft top. Exterior details include wheel arch flares, a distinctive chrome-finished front brush guard, fog lights, a rear tow ball, and a driver’s side dual exhaust outlet. It rides on grey-finished 18” 5-spoke wheels dressed in recently balanced and rotated Yokohama Geolandar H/T tires. The spare wheel is mounted to the swing-out carrier and is protected with a Mercedes-Benz emblemized chrome-trimmed cover. The seller notes that the previous owner upgraded the headlights with modern 463 HIDs/Halo rings and that the convertible top is said to have been replaced under prior ownership. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report and paint meter readings.
Inside, the cabin is upholstered in black leather with burred walnut wood trim accents on the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Interior features include heated front seats, power windows, a leather and wood-trimmed steering wheel, a leather gear selector, and a Becker Grand Prix radio with a cassette. The seller is not able to confirm the functionality of the radio as the code is unavailable.
The 350GD is powered by a 3.5-liter OM603 turbodiesel inline-6-cylinder engine capable of producing 134 HP and 225 lb.-ft of torque. All four wheels are driven through a four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a locking front axle differential. The seller reports the vehicle was inspected by a local shop in 2022 that found hard rubber hoses, vacuum lines, fuel lines, and glow plugs were recently replaced. The seller states to have replaced the brake rotors and pads with Mercedes OEM parts along with performing an oil change with Mobil 5W-40 Turbo Diesel Truck engine oil within the last 100 miles. While no warning lights are reported, the seller notes that the fuel level sensor may need to be replaced and that a vibration occurs when driving at 60 MPH but stops once over 70 MPH which may indicate the need to replace bushings. The seller also notes that when the transmission has a load on it at a stop, the car shakes. However, the seller is not sure if this is due to it being a diesel or if the engine and transmission mounts should be replaced.
This sale will include a clean title, a tool kit, and a spare tire.
The seller would like you to know: “This is a well-presented factory G-Wagon Cabriolet! It runs great and is a real head-turner. It's super rare to see convertible G-Wagons in the US, and this might be the deal someone is looking for! While it's not fast, the Turbo Diesel gets this thing moving in no time and effortlessly cruises around town or the highway.”

@Milemarker Hi, unfortunately since we did not receive any records with the vehicle and to ensure that the car is safely road-worthy upon delivery, we did not test the lockers. The high and low functions do work.
