This 1992 Land Rover Defender 90 has been extensively restored by Brooklyn Coachworks Inc. in Brooklyn, New York. The restoration features a fresh coat of Matte Fuji White paint over a reupholstered black leather interior, while upgrades include LED lighting, 16” aftermarket wheels wrapped in Michelin off-road tires, and more. Power is delivered by a 2.5-liter 200TDi inline-four engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, dual-range transfer case, and a locking center differential. Driven less than 100 miles since the restoration, this tastefully restored Defender 90 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New Jersey.
This example was refinished in Matte Fuji White as part of its comprehensive restoration, which included complete disassembly of the body from its frame. Equipment includes a body-color hardtop with Alpine windows, front and rear steel bumpers, fender vents, and upgraded LED lighting. It rides on black-finished aftermarket wheels wrapped in Michelin 4x4 O/R XZL tires bearing 2020 date codes, and a matching full-size spare is mounted to the cargo door. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The interior has been reupholstered in black leather with quilt-patterned stitching, covering the front bucket seats, center console, and inward-facing rear jump seats, all equipped with seat belts. It has a two-spoke steering wheel along with VDO instruments and auxiliary gauges. Accessories include black floor mats, manual sliding front windows, and a heater/defroster. All gauges and electronics are reported to be in proper working order with no warning lights illuminated.
Power comes from a 2.5-liter 200TDi turbodiesel inline-four engine, which delivers a factory-rated 109 HP and 188 lb.-ft of torque to all four wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission, a two-speed transfer case, and a locking center differential. The seller notes that the vehicle has received routine maintenance since its restoration.
This sale will include a spare tire, a roof-mounted tent, and a clean title.

@Oddestball This 1992 Land Rover Defender did not come to the U.S. as a U.S.-market vehicle with a diesel engine. Land Rover only officially imported Defenders to the U.S. starting in 1993 with the Defender 110 and later with the Defender 90 in 1994 and 1995. These U.S.-market Defenders were equipped with gasoline V8 engines to meet American emissions and safety regulations.
Diesel-powered Defenders of earlier years, including this 1992 model, were primarily sold in international markets.
@gaswerksgarage No, where was it originally? The CARFAX doesn’t show the beginning of its existence. If it came from another country other than the US, I might not be able to register it in my state.
This Defender is a clean title in the State of New Jersey. Does that help?
Is this a north American version? California registration is next to impossible on imports.
