Manufactured at Honda's Takanezawa R&D Plant in Tochigi, Japan, the first-generation NSX (NA1) was the first production car to feature an all-aluminum semi-monocoque chassis. This groundbreaking design was refined with input from Brazilian Formula One World Champion Ayrton Senna. Equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.0-liter V6 engine and Honda's VTEC variable valve timing system, the NSX offered performance comparable to some of the most expensive European sports cars of its time. Notably, this 1992 model is one of only 1,131 Acura NSX Coupes equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission for that year and is finished in Grand Prix White, a new color introduced in 1992. Acquired by the seller in 2005 and modified with a few tasteful upgrades, this NSX is now being offered for auction out of California with just over 57k miles showing on the odometer.

Inspired by the F-16 fighter jet, the NSX was designed by Shigeru Uehara with a cab-forward layout for optimal driver visibility and a long tail section to enhance high-speed directional stability. Its lightweight aluminum bodywork underwent an aircraft-grade chromate coating and a meticulous 23-step paint process, resulting in a vibrant and flawless finish. This example is finished in Grand Prix White and includes a black roof section, pop-up headlights, front fog lights, side air intakes, dual exhaust outlets, and an integrated rear wing. It rides on aftermarket 17"/18” Prodrive GC-07C wheels that were sourced from Japan and come dressed in new Falken Azenis tires. One fender has been repainted under current ownership due to tire rubbing, which has since been resolved. The seller has identified some scrapes on the front spoiler lip and curb rash on the wheels. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

Inside, the black interior has been customized with a pair of OEM red 4-way power-adjustable sport seats borrowed from a 2005 model, along with a Honda-branded NSX JDM-specific steering wheel, an NSX Type-R shift boot, and ARC shift knob. Other equipment includes automatic climate control, cruise control, power side mirrors, courtesy lights, a theft-deterrent system, and stainless-steel door sill plates stamped with the car’s serial number. The seller notes the Acura-Bose 4-speaker sound system has been rebuilt, and the CD changer has been upgraded with a 2005 model replacement including an MP3 disc player. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are confirmed to be working properly.

This NSX is equipped with a transverse-mounted 3.0-liter V6 featuring VTEC variable valve timing and titanium connecting rods. Up to 270 HP and 210 lb.-ft of torque is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The aluminum semi-monocoque chassis incorporates an extruded aluminum alloy frame and forged aluminum double wishbone suspension. Other features include front and rear stabilizer bars, a 4-channel anti-lock brake system, a traction control system, and a manual steering rack. Modifications include an ARC air intake, an RSR exhaust system, HKS coilovers, an Advance strut bar, and an ARC oil cap. The seller adds that a recent major service included the installation of a new Honda timing belt and water pump.

This sale will include a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “I have gradually transformed this into my dream NSX-R replica. The next owner will have one of the finest Grand Prix White US-spec NSXs on the road. The 1992 model features a single airbag and a cleaner dashboard compared to the 1993+ models. The 1991-92 NSX is the only one with a single airbag, and no white NSXs were built for the US market in 1991. This rare gem represents the sole year Honda produced a white NSX with a single airbag for the US market, having undergone snap ring repairs and near-perfect condition in almost every aspect. The only reason I am considering selling it is to acquire a genuine Type-R from Japan. I hope this car finds a loving new owner.”

by the way the curb rash on the wheels were there when I acquired the wheels from Japan, I didn't make that happen : )
wheels are perfect structure wise, however a recondition of wheels and repaint will made the car one level up for sure and it was my long term plan too.

@Autotrend the original seats does have 2 small damage from storage other than normal wear. I will post pics once I have chance.
I acquired the red seats in 2011 from a 2005 NSX with red interior with 10k miles, so the original seats been in storage since then.
IMO early seats always wear out more than newer design one especially the center section.

do the original seats have any cuts in them?

This is one of 215 GPW / Black interior 5spd coupe in 1992, the best year North America spec GPW NA1 IMHO, it's as pure as it get.
original 2005 autotrader print out included when I purchased it.
Major service was done at that time 2005, so during my ownership not much needed(Honda!), major service just done 5/2024 with all honda oem parts due to the age.

a few parts forgot to mentioned : front project mu 4 piston brakes with larger discs / brand new when I installed about 3k miles ago, no spacer needed for the wheel it fit perfectly, backyard special NSX-R type mesh engine cover.
    thank you for viewing.
