Now available out of North Carolina is this custom 1991 Chevrolet Suburban finished in a tough Rhino Lining black over a black vinyl interior. Representing the final model year of the U.S. specification seventh-generation Suburban, this example has been restored and upgraded from the ground up and has been equipped for Overlanding. The frame was fully disassembled and sandblasted along with many of the undercarriage components, and the original 350 c.i. V8 was rebuilt along with the 700R4 transmission. It features a custom-made removable roof rack, a rooftop tent, a 10,000 lb. winch, vinyl flooring, power windows and door locks, and much more.

This Suburban has been professionally finished in a durable textured black Rhino Lining, and much of the exterior trim has been painted black. During its restoration, the body was separated from the frame while it was sandblasted and refinished along with the axles and other components. The front and rear bumpers have been upgraded with heavy-duty units from MOVE, and a custom spare tire carrier with mounting for gas cans was added to the rear. A custom-made removable rack sits atop the roof, and a Smittybilt four-person tent with a built-in rain shield and canopy is mounted thereon. The rear quarter windows have been replaced with custom panels which house two Rotopax freshwater cans along with an ax and a shovel. Additional features include a roof access ladder, a 10,000 lb Smittybilt winch, LED spotlights in the rear bumper and front of the roof rack, a custom bug shield, and 15” wheels dressed in a set of Nexen Roadian all-terrain tires.

Inside, the front bucket and the rear split-folding bench seat have been upholstered in black vinyl, while custom diamond plate trim panels have been added to the door cards and cargo doors. Heavy-duty vinyl covers the floor for easy maintenance and cleanup, and a new black headliner has been installed. A custom switch panel is mounted into the dash, which operates the exterior LED lights. Additional amenities include custom aluminum trim and blue LED backlighting for the gauge cluster, power windows and door locks, and a new BOSS radio with new speakers front and rear. During the restoration door locks and windows received new actuators, motors, and switches, and the air conditioning system was completely rebuilt with new lines and compressors.

Power comes from a carbureted 350 c.i. V8 which has been completely rebuilt featuring Edelbrock E-Street aluminum cylinder heads, Flattop pistons with Hastings rings, an Edelbrock Dual Plane four-barrel intake, an Edelbrock AVS2 Carburetor with an electric choke, Competition Cam XE262H-14 cams with Competition lifters, Edelbrock signature series valve covers and Air cleaner, Taylor 8mm street thunder wires, a GM HEI Distributor, and a dual exhaust system with stainless steel shorty headers. Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels by way of a rebuilt 700R4 automatic transmission with a transfer case and manual locking hubs. The transfer case has been rebuilt and resealed along with the front and rear axles, and new rear drive shaft u-joints have been installed. The brakes and suspension have been refreshed with new calipers, wheel cylinders, brake hoses, ball joints, leaf springs, bushings, shocks, steering linkage, and steering box. Additionally, the fuel tank and lines, radiator and hoses, and starter and alternator have all been replaced with new units. Detailed photos of the engine bay and undercarriage can be found in the gallery.

This sale will include a clean title.
