A years-long build commissioned to the experts at RWBLA, this 1991 Porsche 964 Carrera 4 was the subject of a Super Wide Body conversion, a 3-stage PPG finish in Lido Gold by RDBLA, a reupholstered Grigio leather interior with Alcantara and Houndstooth, and several race-focused upgrades. It was further enhanced with a Bilstein race suspension, Fabspeed RSR headers, an aftermarket exhaust system, and custom Rotiform wheels. This one-off RWB build is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California.
The custom RWB Super Wide bodywork was hand-fitted by Nakai San including an RSR-inspired front bumper, an IROC-style rear wing, and modified bumpers, rocker panels, and bolt-on fenders. Details include RWB headlights, taillights, and ride markers, along with chrome-finished horn grilles and matching taillight bezels. Custom-crafted and polished Rotiform concave wheels have been mounted with Toyo R888 tires. As the bodywork came to completion, the example was sent to RDBLA and stripped to bare metal for a 3-stage PPG refinish in the extremely rare shade of Lido Gold.
The cabin has been tastefully customized with Grigio leather complemented by matching Alcantara inlays and Houndstooth inserts. Scheel-Mann seats have been fitted along with a quick-release custom steering wheel, and Rennline interior accessories including aluminum pedals, RS door panels, an RS dashboard kit, and race mats.
Power is derived from an air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine rated at 247 HP stock. All four wheels are driven through a G50 5-speed manual transmission. The seller states the engine and transmission underwent a complete rebuild within the last 5k miles. The build also includes a Bilstein race suspension, Fabspeed RSR headers, and an aftermarket exhaust.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “I am an experienced Porsche collector and I have now built 6 of these in total. There is no doubt that this is my absolute best build. Please see the video of Akira Nakai putting in his expert work. The videos and pictures speak for themselves. The winning bidder will receive a complementary underside dry ice blast before delivery.”

@XHILLR8 I believe they’re 305’s but I’d have to confirm - not sure of the rim width, id have to look that up also
Beautiful build. What size are the rear wheels/tires?
@thatwheelguy thank you! Rotiform for life!
Bid with confidence. The owner takes immaculate care of his vehicles. Plus, the wheels are killer, I built them :)

@leesfer thank you 😊
Oh man I wish I had seen this car earlier this week, I would have been all in on taking her home
@Deichenb I bought it this way from the previous owner, but I don’t have a build sheet to confirm oem or did it happen somewhere between 1991 and 2014. I personally wouldn’t spend the money to delete it later on.

Is this an OEM sunroof delete car? That’s fairly rare for US-market 964-4’s.

@Pnirenstein thank you Parker ❤️ you’ve reviewed many on YouTube also
Having driven several of the owners cars I can attest he keeps them in incredible condition. GLWS
@jbauto this is my 6th build and so far no issues with bearings, etc - they’ve been very reliable and so much fun to drive. Never had issues and it hasn’t come up on the RWB owners chat group with about 250 owners - I’ve been an owner and in that chat room for 8 years now. The stuff we talk about is how many cigarettes Nakai San smokes on a daily lol
I feel sorry for the rear wheel bearings.
Why is every RWB allergic to turbo power? These have all off the show with none of the go.

Gorgeous build! Just needs some cojones 😁 good luck with sale

@WReiter bone stock - all of my other RWB builds were high lobing bored out, kinda tough to drive, so I wanted this to be a comfortable cruiser that didn’t feel like a go cart - is super comfortable and feels modern.
Engine rebuilt to stock specs? If not, what did you upgrade? Chipped to take advantage of the open exhaust? Easy for new owner to do if no.
Hi I’m Ted and selling my RWB - looking forward to the auction- let me know if any questions! I’m a pretty avid Porsche guy and collector so ask away. Thank you 😊
