Up for auction is this 1991 Porsche 964 Carrera 2 Coupe finished in Guards Red over a Tan leather interior. Representing one of the most sought-after generation 911’s this well-presented example has recently received over $11k in maintenance including an engine reseal along with new tires and a complete air conditioning recharge. Ready to be enjoyed by a new owner, it is now being offered out of Texas with 75k well documented miles on the odometer.
Finished in Guards Red, this 911 is said to be in great overall condition with some typical road going wear present. Detailed images are provided in the photo gallery. Giving this 964 its aggressive stance is a set of newly installed Bilstein struts along with H&R lowering springs. This not only improves the look of the car, but significantly increases handling capabilities. Also installed are a set of upgraded Cup-style wheels that are wrapped in General G-Max tires.
Inside, you will find a tan leather interior that has clearly been very well-kept. All functions are said to be in working condition and there are no modifications present. A few key details include: 8-way powered supple leather seats, automatic speed control, an amplifier, a sunroof, board computer, a rear window wiper and a speed activated rear aero spoiler.
This 911 retains its 3.6L M64 flat-six engine that produces 250HP and 228 ft/lb of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via 4-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission allowing for easy cruising and daily usage. Recently undergoing more than $11,000 in preventative maintenance and an engine reseal, the car is up-to-date on all service and ready to be enjoyed. Service items included the following:
The sale will include records since new, two keys, books, and a clean Carfax.

@signalMTB at anything under $55k it’s doable and then you have a killer car. I myself thought of doing this once with a Tiptronic 993. It makes sense with the price of a good manual coupe these days.
@RacingPorsche ... Yes .. 0 leaks
Bid in the amount of $29,000

Total engine reseal was done. Did this eliminate all leaks?
What a bummer, if it were me I'd spend the cash and do the G50 swap.

We have forwarded the more important service tickets to PCAR
@Spokayman ... due to the current situation here in Houston we will do a spread sheet tomorrow ... if there is something specific you are looking for let me know as there are quiet a few work orders to comb thru
@Spokayman ... And it runs and drives just fine
@Spokayman .... Yes the service records go back to the beginning , books with stamps as well as receipts and during that period of time. The latest receipt was a engine out with piston rings to heads being re done and complete reseal. Brake pads and fluid flush to hood struts , about 6 pages worth. I dont know where your PMs are going because I never received them and I answer you directly ..... dont know where the wires are crossed
I guess I’ll post the questions here too....
The Carrera is nice looking and the recent work is a real plus.
-Do you have the car’s ownership and maintenance history from 2014 to 2020 when only 900 miles were added to the odo? My concern is odometer malfunction or damage caused by lack of use.
-How does the transmission shift?
-Can you list the maintenance and repair work from the receipt history? I’m looking for things such as brakes, engine work, transmission, etc.
Thank you.
@canyonblaster ...... Everything is in good working order
@Autoguy .... The car has had some paint work , for whatever reason the quarter panels have been painted , dont see any prior damage but they have been done.
Hi @Lambogas,
I sent you some questions a couple days ago via PcarMarket’s contact seller message system and I haven’t heard back. Did you receive the message?
Bid in the amount of $25,000
Bid in the amount of $20,250
EDIT: sorry I see the records.
What a great car. I had a 964 C4 with same colors and the TPC supercharger kit. I miss it.
I'm thinking about bidding. Can you post a pic of some shop invoices/records, and maybe a driving and shifting video? ANYTHING on the car that is currently non-op? Thx GLWA.
Is the paint all original?
Where did you get all this done for $11k? Seems like a great deal.
I can appreciate the unmolested interior (original radio) yet, an accurate picture of the time!!
Bid in the amount of $20,000
