Finished in an incredibly unique combination of Rubystone Red over Marine Blue upholstery, this early 1991 Porsche 944 S2 is said to have been originally delivered to the television station RTL-Plus Deutschland and remained in Germany where it had been cared for by the previous owner for the last 15 years. It features a 5-speed manual transmission, optional heated seats, and a new timing belt installed within the last three years. The car was recently imported to the Netherlands where it is now being offered for auction showing approximately 232k kilometers (144k miles) on the odometer.
The S2 was the final evolution of Porsche’s 944 transaxle sports car, distinguishable by a rounded nose and rear valence borrowed from the Turbo model along with “16 Ventiler” script badges on the front fenders. This example is finished in Rubystone Red, an iconic Porsche color of the 1990s and a popular choice in today’s Paint to Sample catalog. The car rides on a set of 17” Cup 2-style wheels dressed in a mixed set of tires dated from 2011. The seller notes the car was completely refinished at some point during previous ownership, additional images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin is trimmed in Marine Blue partial leather with optional heated seats, air conditioning, and an alarm system. Other equipment includes power windows and mirrors, a digital clock, a power convertible top, custom polished door sill guards, an aftermarket radio, and a vintage car phone handset.
The S2 is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine rated at 208 HP and 207 lb.-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle. The dealer-stamped maintenance booklet accompanies the sale along with some additional service records, and the seller states a timing belt replacement was carried out in 2020.
The seller would like you to know: “This Porsche comes from a true enthusiast who has owned the car for no less than 15 years and has always maintained it with great love. A very extensive maintenance history is present, and the original booklets are present and completed. This Porsche 944 is well maintained both technically and optically and the timing belt was replaced in 2020. This 944 is powered by a 2990cc 4-cylinder engine with a 5-speed manual transmission that provides an unforgettable driving experience. A Porsche 944 is a beautiful car, but the original factory color of this cabriolet makes it an eye-catcher…. In short, a real enthusiast's car in a special color scheme that is completely ready for its new owner. We can help you with worldwide transport, flying the car by airplane or shipping the car to our New Jersey outpost (or other harbors in the US)."

@uscarrera Yes you can contact Alex Naumov from West Coast shipping.
Do you have an agent to handle importing to the Port of Jacksonville in Florida? Estimated total costs of transport and all fees to get car off the dock?
Thanks
@Maggio.1 We sell and ship a lot of our cars to the USA.
The easiest, quickest and cheapest possibility at this moment is to the East-Coast, NJ.
Shipping costs to ship a car in a combined container to NJ harbor is 2,850 USD, excluding local import tax, local harbor costs and insurance. Our NJ agent will also be happy to help you with the inland road transport.
But if we can combine a container to Houston, the price will be about 4,500 USD, excluding local import tax, local harbor costs and insurance
@Inline4 The name of the interior color has been updated.
The is not a ‘91 but a ‘90 model year car. Also, the interior is not Cobalt but Marine blue.
Bid in the amount of $8,500
Can you ship it to Houston Tx? What will be the cost?
@BoJones Thank you very much for your advise. I will forward it to my colleagues from our photo studio.
These pictures taken inside a building are not the best, IMHO. It’s my favorite color on a Porsche 964. Rubystone was used regularly on the euro 964 RS and occasionally on the Turbo. I’ve seen so many pictures taken outside, in the sun, where this color is unmatched. If I were the seller, I’d add some taken outside showing the side facing the sun. Bring this color alive!

This is my wife’s favorite color. She hadn’t wanted to learn how to drive a manual. Maybe finally this car being a convertible and a stick with this color does the trick. I’m in Texas but definitely I’ll go to nj pick the car up and drive it home. Any ideas about what would be the cost to ship this car to the us. My first PorscheswS a 944s2 coupe that I bought in a police auction. I learned to drive stick in my dads 1980 sc. now I own a early 99 996 and an 03 triple black turbo coupe both 6 speeds. Maybe this could be a birthday present for my wife. Thanks
