The Porsche 928 underwent a major evolution for the 1987 model year with the introduction of the S4 model featuring a new 5.0-liter DOHC V8 engine and improved aerodynamic bodywork. This 1991 example is finished in Grand Prix White over a Midnight Blue leather interior and features a 4-speed automatic transaxle, power seats, extended rear-seat air conditioning, an original Blaupunkt stereo, painted spoilers, body moldings, and 16” Design 90 wheels. Having been cared for by its current owner for the past three years, this 928 S4 is now being offered for auction out of Texas with under 98k miles showing on the odometer.

The S4 is distinguishable from earlier 928 models by its rounded aerodynamic nose, larger taillights, and rear spoiler. This example is finished in Grand Prix White with matching painted spoilers and body side moldings. Other equipment includes pop-up headlights, integrated fog lights, power mirrors, an electric sunroof, a roof-mounted antenna, a rear window wiper, dual exhaust tips, and 16” Design 90 wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin is appointed with Midnight Blue leather upholstery complemented by matching carpets and custom coco floor mats. Accessories include a leather four-spoke steering wheel, power-adjustable seats with driver memory, automatic climate control, cruise control, extended rear-seat air conditioning, a central locking system, an analog quartz clock, an onboard computer, and Blaupunkt Reno SQR 46 stereo. The seller indicates an airbag malfunction light is present and the A/C fan only works at high speed.

A fuel-injected 5.0-liter DOHC V8 engine delivers up to 316 HP and 317 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 4-speed automatic transaxle. Stopping power comes from vented disc brakes at each corner and the suspension features stabilizer bars at the front and rear. Records are included showing maintenance performed over the past 4 years and the CARFAX report shows service completed by Porsche Dallas in April 2023 with a brake fluid flush, oil change, and new tires.

This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “This is an outstanding car that I've owned for the last 3 plus years. Since I purchased this vehicle, I have spent over $22000 making sure all the components were in good working order and it did not need any additional service. it is an outstanding car.”

@porsche928fan The seller is unable to access the listing at this moment. They have informed us that the transmission is in working order shifting through all gears with no issues. Currently, the air bag light is on and the fan speed switch only works on high setting. These are the only current issues. Also, the seller notes that the A/C was converted to 134A.

@Collexxxter "pcar had the invoices but didn't post them- timing belt and tensioner, water pump and assorted $3898; ac work, $2206" What year/mileage please

  • porsche928fan (registered bidder) 4 months, 3 weeksago

just to confirm cause the service invoice was not clear if problem was fixed, so you say there is no issue for the transmission shifting from 3rd to 4th gear? And you saying the ac fan switch is defective. Is it the rotary knob switch as part of center console hvac control that has an issue or is it some other switch behind the dashboard?

hi seller, went over your repair invoices, so you pay the porsche dealership to repair the air con and then transmission. Yet you still have issues with air con switch only working at max and trans have trouble shifting to 4th gear? Just want to confirm if that is correct? Any idea on cause of airbag light?

  • Collexxxter 4 months, 3 weeksago

  • Collexxxter 4 months, 3 weeksago
