Offered from 1989 to 1991, the Porsche 928 GT was positioned as the high-performance variant of the model line, offering increased power along with a standard 5-speed manual transaxle and limited-slip differential. One of approximately 145 U.S.-market examples built for the final model year, this 1991 GT was ordered in Black and has since been fitted with a matching interior. Acquired by the seller in June 2024, it has since been serviced by Harper Porsche in Knoxville, Tennessee, and is now being offered for auction out of Tennessee with approximately 83k miles on the odometer. This 928 GT was factory-finished in Black (A1A1) and optioned with protective bodyside moldings, a rear model designation delete, and an electric sunroof. Additional features include pop-up headlamps, a rear window wiper, dual exhaust tips, integrated fog lights, and 16” Design 90 wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps and new Pirelli tires. The seller notes a couple of rust spots, and detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Factory-specified with Light Grey interior, this example has since been fitted with black upholstery. Equipment includes heated front seats, as well as increased air conditioning. Accessories also include power-operated front bucket seats, individual rear bucket seats, a leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel, an analog clock, power windows and mirrors, and a central locking system. A Porsche Classic head unit with navigation and SiriusXM has been installed, and the factory radio is said to accompany the sale.
Power comes from a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter DOHC V8 engine rated at 326 HP and 317 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 5-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The most recent service noted on the CARFAX report indicates that recommended maintenance was performed on June 15, 2025. Service documentation is provided in the gallery.
This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a spare tire, the factory radio, and service records.
The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for checking out my listing! This 1991 Porsche 928 GT is one of just 145 GT models imported into the U.S. that year, making it a rare and desirable example. It has been meticulously maintained, with all services up to date. The original radio will be included with the sale. It runs and drives beautifully and is ready for the next enthusiast to enjoy. Due to my size, 6’5 300 lbs, I can’t enjoy it like I would like.”

Sorry, there’s only one rust spot. I just added the picture.

There’s on one rust spot on the back right right by the rear glass. It’s in the walk around video and I point it out.
That was done by the previous owner for both the interior and the manifold change.
I couldn't find the photos showing the rust spots noted in the description. Can you tell me which photos to look at? Second, why was the interior changed? The light gray looked gorgeous and appeared to be in much better condition than the black interior that replaced it. Finally, was the intake manifold casting replaced or was the original stripped (the photos in the prior auction showed a very smooth-finished manifold with red lettering) as opposed to a rougher casting without the red lettering.

@Jknox7734 Thar is a warning tag on a mechanic’s hood strut lock reminding him or her to remove the lock before shutting the hood. They use them on cars without hood props to make sure the gas struts don’t get weak and drop the hood on our technician’s head.
Hi, I didn’t take the picture but will check when I get home.
What is that green strap hanging from the corner of the hood?
