We are pleased to present this modified 1991 Mercedes-Benz W124 300CE finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic over a black leather interior. This 300CE was originally modified by Mosselman Turbo Systems of Belgium in the 1990’s and has been known as the 300CR Silver Arrow Bi-Turbo. It was imported from Japan in April of 2020, and features widened bodywork, Recaro A8 seats, a pair of Garrett T25 turbochargers, a 5-speed dogleg transmission, Bilstein dampers, and much more. It is reported to have received a major engine service in 2020 which included a rebuilt cylinder head, new rod bearings, valves, guides, seals, piston rings, fuel injectors, valve cover gasket, and ignition components. This unique W124 is now being offered by its seller in Washington state, while showing approximately 39k kilometers (25k miles) on the odometer.
Finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic this 300CE is equipped with the more aggressive front fenders and bumper from the 500E. The rear fenders have been widened to match the front and NACA-style intakes have been mounted in front of the rear wheels. The seller reports that the finish remains in excellent overall condition aside from paint cracks on the hood and front bumper, and chips on the front lip spoiler. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX and paint meter readings. Additional details include HID headlights, a locking fuel cap, a carbon fiber front lip, a Mosselman carbon fiber rear spoiler, and a set of 18” 6-spoke Mosselman wheels. The wheels are dressed in a set of Kuhmo Ecsta tires bearing date codes from 2012.
Inside, the cabin is highlighted by a pair of Recaro A8 seats upholstered in buffalo leather with silver painted backs. Additional details include a suede headliner, blue and black Karo floor mats, a leather-wrapped MOMO steering wheel, an exhaust temperature and boost gauge mounted on a gooseneck, a Mosselman 320-km/h speedometer, mounting points for racing harnesses, an aluminum dead pedal and shift knob, factory air conditioning, and carbon fiber trim in place of the factory wood veneers. A collection of images showcasing the cabin can be found in the gallery.
Power comes from a 3.0L 24-valve inline-six which has been modified by Mosselman with twin Garrett T25 turbochargers with water-cooled bearing housings and integral wastegates. This allows for an output of 320HP and 300 lb-ft of torque. Additionally a custom top-mount intercooler, and a Mosselman exhaust manifold were added, along with an Eisenmann exhaust system. The rear wheels are driven by way of a dogleg five-speed manual transmission. The suspension has been upgraded with a set of lower springs with Bilstein dampers, and front and rear anti-roll bars. The seller notes that in October of 2020 a comprehensive engine service was carried out which included a rebuilt cylinder head and a replacement head gasket, new rod bearings, valves, guides, seals, piston rings, fuel injectors, valve cover gasket, and ignition components.
This sale will include importation documents, a tool kit, Mosselman promotional material, Sabelt four-point harnesses, Mercedes-Benz owner’s manuals, service records beginning in April 2007, magazines featuring the vehicle, and a clean Washington title.

@Moby242 we checked the tune (air fuel ratio) and dyno'ed it using 93.
What gas does it take? Mosselman suggested 100 octane or more bc they couldn’t advance timing

@carissimo this car was documented as accident free in Japan. We purchased it from a well known dealer. The Carfax in the gallery also shows no accidents while in the US.
The car is completely rust free.
Front frame and spare tire well pictures are already in the gallery, let me know if I am misunderstanding your request.
Thank you
Do you have accident history? ask for accident history.
Could you also post front frame pics and spare tire well photos?
Any rust?
What a cool car. Data card from MB EPC shows shipping date of 11.12.1991 and production number 6270474
@ECM I do like your car's modification to fenders and bumpers. But my question is about your listing as a MY1991, vs late-'93 when body style changes were updated front and rear. Starting in late 1993 with gen-3 the radiator was 'streamlined' with a vertical piece of hood that slightly separated the radiator and headlamp. And the space for the rear license plate became recessed. To double check my recollections, see James Taylor's book 'W124 The Complete Story'. Perhaps double check your VIN to confirm the original car's build?
@q-sled both the body and style are MY1991. The front and rear bumper are painted to match the body which makes it look like a later model. Also the Mosselman modifications included replacing the front fenders with wider ones from a 500E along with the front bumper. The rear fenders were widened as well.
Let me know if you have other questions
The car is listed as MY1991. But the body is styled as a 3rd generation model which commenced production in the fall of 1993. Can you clarify? Thank you.
@Sir_Standing_Beard awesome find thank you!
@ECM Thanks! Quick googling of the Automatic Limited Slip (ASD) style LSD in W124s shows " The factory ASD system is a normal clutch-type limited-slip diff, PLUS an extra hydraulic function that activates to provide 100% lock when wheelspin is detected under 19mph. Above 19mph, it's a plain LSD, with approx 35% lock from the clutch pack."
Additional content has been added to the gallery for this listing.
@Sir_Standing_Beard. The factory build spec shown a limited slid differential.

Does this car come fitted w/ an LSD? I can't find any mention in the documentation (either factory or Mosselman)
I have this same car in white with a automatic and more stock items.
Sorry for the late welcome.
We are so excited to present this unique build by Mosselman. Mosselman was a major player in the 90's Mercedes-Benz sandbox competing with AMG (pre-merger), Brabus, Koenig etc.
The quality and work that went into this build is exceptional. The entire interior was retrimmed in buffalo leather, suede headliner, carbon fiber trim and billet aluminum shift knob. The 300CR drives amazingly, it is planted on the road, with very little body roll yet it retains the extremely comfortable ride that you would expect from a Mercedes.
Willy Mosselman himself contacted us as he was so excited when he found out we had one of his build. He confirmed this was the car he took to the Dubai car show. The next owner will have a direct line to Willy if they wish to discuss the car.
This car was very well preserved, with over 20 years of receipts. Everything is exceptionally well maintained and preserved. After purchasing the car we went over everything, replacing head gasket and rebuilding the head while adding wideband O2 sensors and a gauge to confirm the fuel mixture was adequate.
Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
Meanwhile here is a video of the dyno pull.
