Now available for auction is this custom-restored 1991 Land Rover Defender 110 200 TDi finished in Bonatti Grey over black leather. Based out of the U.K. as one of the foremost Land Rover restoration specialists in the world, Arkonik took this 1991 example and subsequently performed a full frame-off custom restoration to an impeccably high standard. Purchased by the current owner about 3 years ago at approximately 500 miles, this exceptional Land Rover Defender is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Texas with just over 6,500 miles driven on the restoration.
After being delivered to Arkonik in South West England, the donor vehicle was completely dismantled before the original steel frame is put on a custom jig, carefully inspected, re-aligned, shot-blasted, etch-primed, and Raptor-coated for maximum durability. Brand new body panels are then created and meticulously fitted to exacting specifications. This example underwent a painstaking multi-stage paint process in Bonatti Grey. Optional details include aluminum side steps, a Puma bonnet, a NAS rear step, premium LED side lamps, LED headlamps, satin black checker plating, and a KBX Signature grille. This Defender rides on a set of Land Rover Sawtooth wheels dressed in BFGoodrich K02 tires. The Arkonik spare tire cover and mud flaps have been removed and will be included separately.
The cabin has been completely reupholstered in black leather with new matching carpets. Optional specifications from Arkonik include upgraded alloy door furniture, a leather steering wheel, cubby box, and premium high-back center-row seats. Some modern luxuries have also been integrated including air conditioning, a heated rear window with a washer, and a standard sound system.
The 2.5 L inline-4 turbodiesel engine is factory rated at 107 HP and 195 lb.-ft of torque. The engine and 5-speed manual gearbox were painstakingly rebuilt by Arkoink along with the installation of all-new suspension, steering, braking, and fuel system components. After final assembly, this Land Rover was thoroughly tested, and MOT certified before delivery to the U.S. The seller reports that routine oil changes have been carried out and confirms this Defender to be in fantastic running order.
This sale will include a clean title. Now is your chance to skip the line for the build allocation and get right behind the wheel of a masterfully restored Land Rover Defender by Arkonik.
