Up for auction is this freshly restored 1991 Land Rover Defender 110. This example is said to have undergone a complete frame-off restoration within the last year including a custom reupholstered leather interior, added modern amenities, and a new LS3 V8 engine paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Having traveled just over 400 miles since the completion of the restoration, this Defender 110 is now being offered for auction by its seller in Texas.
This Defender is said to have been completely disassembled before it was fitted with a galvanized chassis and finished in a classic nonmetallic green. The quality of the paint is said to be very nice with only a few minor defects (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery). Some noteworthy features include new exterior trim, LED lighting, a rear step, side running boards, and body-colored steel wheels with a full-size rear-mounted spare.
The cabin has been lined with new insulation and custom reupholstered in tan leather. Power windows and door locks were also integrated along with a custom Bluetooth stereo system and touchscreen head unit. The air conditioning and heat are said to be fully functional along with all other gauges and accessories.
The original drivetrain in this Defender has been swapped out in favor of a new Chevrolet LS3 V8 engine that sends approximately 430 HP to all four wheels through a new 6-speed automatic transmission. Power-assisted brakes and steering were also equipped for added convenience. With just over 400 miles traveled since the restoration, this Defender 110 is said to be in like-new driving condition.
This sale will include a key set and a clean title (in transit). Offering classic Defender styling with modern power and comfort, this freshly restored 1991 Land Rover is not to be overlooked.

@Streamfly You will have no problem registering this vehicle. We have the title in hand like I mentioned and this vehicle was registered in Tennessee when we acquired it.
@AlphaOneMotors My continued bidding on this vehicle is subject to my ability to obtain a legal State vehicle registration and title. No point in purchase if I can't legally drive it on the road. Can you please provide some form of verification or confirm that I or anyone else bidding on this vehicle will have no issues legally registering the car. Thank you.
@Streamfly The title is a PA Title with Vin 446927.
Thanks SignalMTB for the info. To the seller; Is there a 17 digit VIN? Are there going to be issues with the title transfer?
@ajs660 No problem at all. We are open 9-6 M-F and 10-4 on Saturdays.
@ajs660 We do not have those details, we purchased the vehicle from a large public car buying company which buys from clients directly.
@Streamfly I sent you a reply to you message.
@skimaker It has automatic locking differentials. No manual locks. Put in neutral and use the 4 wheel shifter to select 4 high or 4 low.
This is an AAD South African Defender 110, the galvy chasis was standard build on these (not added / fitted during resto). Looks like Neil's old truck from Red Door. Would be good to have the full story on the resto / LS3 swap etc. The VIN would typically be an 18 digit from AAD, and usually these trucks go through a mess before being imported because US requires a 17 digit so the VIN will get swapped out (sometimes by local police in SA). Long way to say, do your homework so you can trust the build and ensure the title is 100% completed (seller recently stated they had it, so that's good). All time 4-wheel with a center diff lock to those asking.
4 wheel drive all the time? Or capable of switching from 2 wheels drive to 4...? Please elaborate.
Also do you have any details on which company carried out the rebuild works and more importantly the drivetrain change out?
Thank you
