Introduced in 1990 as the successor to the Lamborghini Countach, the Diablo was the brand’s flagship V12-powered supercar up until 2001. This 1991 example is finished in white over a black leather interior with red contrast piping and equips a 5.7-liter V12 engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. It was sold new from Scottsdale Lamborghini in Arizona and spent time on the West Coast and Missouri before it was imported to Canada in 2020. Under current ownership, the car has undergone extensive service including replacements of the water pump, silicone hoses, transmission bushings, front brake ducts, fuel system maintenance, and the installation of a stainless-steel exhaust system. Showing approximately 28k kilometers (18k miles) on the odometer, this 1990s supercar icon is now being offered for auction by its seller out of British Columbia.
Originally designed by Marcelo Gandini, the Diablo’s composite and aluminum bodywork features a distinctive wedge-shaped profile and is characterized by signature scissor-style doors, large air intakes, pop-up headlamps, a fixed rear wing, and a vented engine cover. Other details include integrated front fog lights, quad exhaust pipes, and 17” OZ Racing alloy wheels. This example is finished in white, and the seller notes fiberglass repair and paintwork were performed on the front bumper and undertray in 2019. An area of touch-up paint is also noted under the passenger-side headlight as well as a chip above the rear grille. The car rides on Pirelli P Zero tires showing production date codes from 2014 and 2015, and the front brake ducts were replaced in March 2023. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cockpit is appointed with black leather upholstery including fixed-back bucket seats with deviated red piping that extends to the dashboard, door panels, and center console. Accessories include a leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel, a black leather gear knob, a gated shifter, Lamborghini-branded floor mats, analog VDO gauges, automatic climate control, a central locking system, power windows, a quartz clock, and an aftermarket Pioneer flip-out head unit paired with a JL Audio amplifier, Audiotec Fischer speakers, a Helix subwoofer, and Rydeen parking cameras at the front and rear.
Rated at 485 HP and 428 lb.-ft of torque, this Diablo is equipped with a naturally aspirated 5.7-liter V12 engine with dual overhead camshafts, four valves per cylinder, and computerized multi-point fuel injection. Power is sent to the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential, providing acceleration from 0-60 MPH in approximately 4.5 seconds with a top speed of over 200 MPH. Service completed under current ownership in 2023 includes replacements of the water pump and silicone hoses, transmission bushings, and engine oil as well as the installation of a stainless-steel exhaust system. The fuel system was also serviced with fuel injector cleaning and draining and cleaning of the fuel tank.
This sale will include a clean title.

Unfortunately we had 2 sales on BaT that resulted in the buyers not closing, both dealers in the New York area. 1 claimed his email was hacked and he never bid on the car, although there was 2 bids from him. The 2nd buyer forgot he bid and bought another car by the time this closed. Apparently BaT has banned both from their site.
Neither of them saw the car nor would they return my calls. BaT got their fees both times.
Bid in the amount of $125,000
Neither of those sales went through, and it was also listed on Sotheby's Motorsport in December and bid to 175k.
It says the seller didn’t go through for the Oct ‘23 auction (sold for 335k) but I’m asking about what happened with the most recent BAT auction that ended November 13, 2023 that says sold for $250k?? Did that also not go through?
@TTurboS - From BaT.
"the winning bidder failed to follow through with their commitment to purchase. This was not due to any fault with the vehicle. The winner’s participation on BaT has been restricted and their buyer’s fee was not refunded."
I thought this just sold on BAT (Nov’23)?
