The M-Technic Luxury Equipment option (S771A) was made available for the BMW E30 Convertible for the 1991 model year only, equipping a full M-Technic II body kit, an M-Technic suspension, additional leather upholstery, and 15” BBS wheels. This 1991 example is finished in Diamond Black Metallic over a Black Nappa leather interior and is said to be one of 250 worldwide produced in this color combination. Originally ordered with an automatic transmission, it has been converted to a 5-speed manual by BMW Master Technician and recently received a new head gasket, service of the power steering system, and new shifter bushings. It has received a set of 17” BMW Style 5 wheels and an aftermarket coilover suspension under previous ownership. Accompanied by a rare hardtop, the original suspension, transmission, and wheels, this 1991 BMW 325i Cabriolet is now being offered at auction by its seller out of New Jersey showing approximately 120k miles on the odometer.
The exterior is finished in Diamond Black Metallic (181) with a full M-Technic body kit consisting of model-specific front and rear bumpers, a front valence with integrated smoked fog lamps, a rear valence with a cut-out for dual exhaust tips, rocker panel pods, and a rear spoiler. Other equipment includes a black removable hardtop with a storage stand on casters, a black fabric power-operated soft top, Hella ellipsoid projector headlights, M-Technic badging on the front grille, rocker panel pods, and rear spoiler, a forward-opening hood, chrome window surrounds, smoked front turn signals, BMW Motorsport engraved door handles, and power-operated mirrors. The seller reports an area of touched-up paint on the passenger side rear bumper as well as fading of the soft top plastic window, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. This E30 rides on a set of 17” BMW Style 5 wheels manufactured by BBS, with a polished lip, gold register bolts, “3D” BBS center caps, and a set of tires mounted within the last 500 miles. The original 15” BBS “Euroweave” wheels are also said to be included with the sale.
The interior features front sport seats and a rear bench seat upholstered in Black Nappa leather (0226), along with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. Amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, an onboard computer, an AM/FM cassette stereo, BMW-branded floor mats, power accessories, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and VDO instrumentation. The seller reports the head unit will have to be repaired, as the audio cuts out intermittently, and the third brake light triggers an error code on the check panel.
The 325i is equipped with a 2.5-liter M20 inline six-cylinder rated at 168 HP and 164 lb.-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission that was swapped in place of the original 4-speed automatic by a BMW Master Technician. In addition, the car rides on aftermarket adjustable coilovers. Since being acquired by the seller, BMW of Freehold, New Jersey replaced the head gasket, serviced the power steering system, and installed new shifter bushings.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a complete factory toolkit, a car cover, the original wheels, transmission, and suspension, and a hardtop with a storage stand.

@deezPcar hard top on, it is extremely easy to get hardtop off and on if your capable of lifting it on your back alone. No leaks that we know of, also inspected by BMW.
@R129guy swapped differential, also comes with the factory one as well as the original trans and suspension of the car from factory!
What diff is in it? These verts came with 4.something and it’s too much for thr manual trans. Makes 1st gear unuseable.
Was diff swapped with manual swap? I didn’t see anything about that in the listing
Nice e30! Couple questions:
1. When the hardtop is on, it has its own glass so the soft top is fully retracted and stored right?
2. Is it easy to get the hard top on and off?
3. Any leaking to speak of either with soft top or hard top?
Thanks!
@KellykelM6 this is not allowed. You must bid and can pay the seller in person if willing to accept cash provided you win the auction.

@nhskibm right. Thanks. My 84 325e and all other US spec E30 cars I have seen were in English, which match the dash and other items. Kinda cool I guess...
@91MTECH2 beautiful car. DS is probably one of the coolest colors that is 10x better in person than any photo can really show. Plus this car as ALL the Mtech 2 badging, pretty sweet. The new owner just needs to ditch the airbag wheel for an Mtech 2 and this thing'll be perfect. GLWA - this is a special E30.
@kephare having been an "e30 guy" for the better part of 20 years the german check panel is one of those little upgrades folks sometimes did through the forums and whatnot. I think I did it on a couple of mine over the years.
@kephare That is the way i received the car, some of my other cars also have everything in German on the dash as well
@kephare sorry, “check panel”
Why is the “check board” in German?
