Considered as one of the most technologically advanced sports cars of its era, the original Acura NSX was engineered at Honda’s Global Research and Development Center in Tochigi, Japan, and marked a turning point for everyday usability in exotic car design. This 1991 Acura NSX Coupe is powered by a 3.0-liter DOHC V6 featuring VTEC variable valve timing paired with a desirable 5-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Finished in Berlina Black over black leather, it comes equipped with iconic pop-up headlights, staggered-diameter 15″ and 16″ forged wheels, power-adjustable seats, automatic climate control, a Bose sound system, and more. Showing under 66k miles on the odometer, this meticulously maintained NSX is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.

The NSX Coupe features an innovative all-aluminum monocoque chassis and body construction, a pioneering achievement for a production vehicle of its era. This 1991 example is finished in Berlina Black and features pop-up headlights, integrated side air intakes, a rear spoiler, power-adjustable mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets. It rides on staggered 15” front and 16” rear five-spoke forged wheels wrapped in Dunlop Direzza DZ102 tires. Detailed images, including paint meter readings, are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report noting minor front-end damage in June 2022. The seller notes the front bumper was repainted without replacement under prior ownership.

The interior features power-adjustable sport seats upholstered in black leather, complemented by a matching dashboard, door panels, and NSX-branded carpeting. Amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, power door mirrors, rear and side window defoggers, a theft-deterrent system, and a factory stereo system with a cassette and a six-disc CD player. All gauges and electronics are reported to be in proper working order.

Power comes from a mid-mounted 3.0-liter DOHC V6 engine, generating a factory-rated 270 HP and 210 lb-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 5-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The NSX utilizes an all-aluminum monocoque chassis with aluminum suspension components for reduced weight and improved balance. Steering is handled by a variable-ratio manual rack-and-pinion system, while braking is facilitated by four-wheel ventilated disc brakes with a four-channel ABS system. The suspension features an all-aluminum double-wishbone design with alloy control arms and hub carriers at all four corners. The seller notes that a timing belt service was performed in 2023, and the air conditioning system was serviced in preparation for sale.

This sale will include the owner’s manuals, a spare tire, and a clean title.

    https://nsxfaq.com/nsx-faq/snap-ring-failure/

"The snap ring failure is limited to transmission numbers J4A4-1003542 through J4A4-1005978. These transmission numbers are limited to 1991 and 1992 model year vehicles. You cannot determine whether a car is in the range for possible failure by VIN number, you must check the transmission number because the transmissions were not installed in sequential order by VIN."

Beautiful car! Can you provide the transmission number, which is often on a white sticker on top of the transmission case. Thanks.

@carsbilly Unfortunately, we don’t have any additional information regarding the minor front-end damage reported in June 2022. We made every effort to locate details but were unsuccessful.
That said, the car shows no visible signs of prior damage upon inspection, and the title remains clean. Let us know if you'd like to see anything specific or have further questions!
