Regarded as one of the most advanced and innovative sports cars of its day, the original NSX was designed and hand constructed at the Honda Global Research and Development Center in Tochigi, Japan. This 1991 example was sold new in California in 1992 and has remained under the care of its original owner since. It was one of just over 1k examples to have come factory finished in Formula Red over a black leather interior and equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission. Riding on upgraded Rays 57 Gram Lights wheels and accompanied by a binder full of service records, this first-gen Acura NSX is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Texas showing approximately 39k miles on the odometer.
This NSX was ordered in Formula Red (R77) with a black roof. Equipment includes integrated foglights, a rear spoiler, side air intake vents, pop-up headlights, and dual chrome exhaust tips. A set of staggered 17”/18” Rays Gram Lights 57 black wheels have been installed and mounted with Nankang tires from 2020. The CARFAX report shows minor hail damage to have occurred in April of 2021 and the seller describes the exterior to be in excellent overall condition, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with the full CARFAX report.
The interior is upholstered in black leather with matching door panels, dashboard, and carpeting. Factory features include an Acura-Bose sound system, serialized NSX-logo sill plates, NSX-embroidered floormats, 4-way power seats, rear and side window defoggers, power door mirrors, cruise control, and a theft-deterrent system. The seller confirms that gauges, lights, and accessories remain fully functional while some minor wear is noted on the driver's side seat bolster.
The 3.0-liter V6 features VTEC variable valve timing and titanium connecting rods, producing up to 270 HP and 210 lb-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 5-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The NA1 NSX can reach 60 MPH in less than 6 seconds and achieve a top speed of up to 168 MPH. Service documents show a consistent history of dealership maintenance with the last recorded service in July of 2021.
This sale will include the original owner's manuals and a clean title.

I don't see the stock trunk-mounted CD changer, but can't tell what might be in the bubble wrap bag in the trunk. Does it have the CD changer (interested for originality, not because I want to play CD's).
Bid in the amount of $15,000
The requested photos are uploaded. Thank you!
@jammaljc Thank you! I will get the other photos requested uploaded tomorrow.
@AlphaOneMotors thanks, sorry i missed the original post!
@jammaljc I did list the transmission number.
The rear does close. I can upload photos tomorrow for you all.
I have no documentation for any timing belt service. It was checked to show no cracks and in good condition.
Bid in the amount of $10,000
Will reiterate the request for the transmission number so we can see if it falls in snap ring range? Also, in the photos, is the rear deck lid not fully closed, or is there a fitment issue? Can you please provide photos of the rear trunk seal area, as well as the original mats (only see the backs). Can you please show the tool kit in the rear trunk (which should include a compressor)? It looks like the timing belt service has never been done, only checked, is that correct?
Love NSX’s! The black wheels really set it off, need to get a set for mine. I have a 93 NSX and have owned it since new, has 50k miles and all I’ve done is recommended maintenance and it looks and drives like the day I bought it. Honda knows how to build them. Purchased a 2018 Turbo S from seller last month and the seller (AlphaOneMotors) was great to work with, made the purchase experience awesome. (And they have free beer and snacks in the showroom refrigerator!!!!!)
@Tmort we have no record of it. However, I did have the belt looked at. It is in good condition and there are no cracks or anything to show otherwise. Thank you!
New driving video uploaded!
Any idea when the timing belt was last done?
@CTMike PDR is paintless dent repair. The previous owner did a full service in 2019 and did everything that was recommended to her to do at that time on that service. Our guess is they recommended it on that service.
What is “PDR? What was the reason for a head gasket replacement? Seems unusual.
Stock market today seems to be matching the color of the car. Sigh.

@wheelandgood Thanks for checking out our NSX.
Transmission Number is J4A4 1000412
We don't have any documentation of the hail as it was done with the previous owner. However she verbally told us it was just light PDR on the hood and I have walked around it and can't see any issues even at angles.
Those are the only wheels we have with it.
Nice example of an NSX. A few questions:
- What is the transmission number?
- Can you please elaborate on "hail damage".
- Do the original wheels come with the car?
Welcome Bidders! Thank you for stopping by the check out our NSX!
Please let us know if you have any questions. Good Luck all!
