Available for auction is an incredibly rare and one-of-a-kind Ferrari dealer sample kit from Schedoni. This extraordinary kit offers a glimpse into the past, containing authentic samples of paint, leather, carpet, roof fabric, and stitching. Back in the 90s, before the existence of car configurators or the Ferrari 'Atelier,' customers had to physically visit the Ferrari dealership to see and feel the materials available for their new Ferrari.
This sample kit allows you to experience how different paint shades complement various leather colors by utilizing the carbon holder for the leather and paint samples. With the model transparency, you can even visualize how the colors appear on the "car" model.
During that time, each Ferrari dealership worldwide, which numbered around 75, possessed one or two of these remarkable kits. It is estimated that only approximately 200 of these kits were ever produced by Schedoni, making them exceptionally rare and sought after.
Contained within this kit are the following genuine samples: 16 paint samples, 12 leather samples, 8 carpet samples, 6 convertible roof fabric samples, 14 stitches (sewing threads), and 4 car models (456GT/512TR/348 Spider/355GTB).
The dimensions of the case are approximately 26" in length, 13" in width, and 4" in height, with a weight of around 20 lbs. Please note that the kit is in used condition, exhibiting signs of wear and tear on the exterior of the leather-wrapped wooden case. However, the hinges, locks, and handles are all in perfect working order. Additionally, the top layer of model transparencies may show some peeling due to its age, as the set is nearly 30 years old.
