Representing a significant evolution of the Porsche 911, the 964 Carrera introduced the option of an electronically controlled all-wheel-drive system and advanced standard features such as antilock brakes and power steering. Finished in Slate Gray Metallic over grey leather upholstery, this 1990 example is one of only 673 Cabriolets produced for North America during the model year and features an all-wheel-drive system, a 5-speed G50 manual transmission, heated power-adjustable front seats, automatic speed control, and an amplifier. Cared for in the state of Washington from 1993 to 2023, this Carrera 4 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Idaho with under 78k miles showing on the odometer.
Replacing the G-Series, the 964 retained the 911's classic shape while enhancing aerodynamics with smoothed front and rear sections, an underbody tray, and an automatically extending rear spoiler. This example comes finished in Slate Gray Metallic (L22D) with a black cabriolet top and rides on 17” 993 Cup 2 wheels dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport tires from 2016. The paint meter readings indicate previous refinishing of the rear quarters, engine deck lid, passenger fender, and hood. According to the seller, zinc drips on all four-wheel lips suggest no prior bodywork, while visible circular weld marks in the engine bay rain gutters confirm no repairs or previous body alterations. Minor road wear is observed on the front bumper, along with the absence of rust in the front and rear cowls. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The driver is greeted by grey leather upholstery complemented by a black dashboard, door panels, seat piping, and carpets. Equipment includes 8-way power-adjustable front seats with heating functions, a Blaupunkt radio, an amplifier, and automatic speed control. The seller states the dashboard is free of damage and cracks, and confirms all gauges, electronics, and accessories to be in proper working order with no warning lights illuminated.
Power is provided by an air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine generating as much as 247 HP. All four wheels are driven through a 5-speed G50 manual transmission. The Carrera 4 is equipped as standard with antilock brakes (ABS), force-sensitive power steering, front and rear stabilizer bars, and all-wheel-drive with variable torque split and a differential locker. The seller states an oil service was performed in May 2024 along with a battery replacement.
This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, and an air pump.
The seller would like you to know: “Hello, thank you for viewing the auction! This is a very clean example and everything is performing as it was intended to including the working power convertible top.”

@windsurfar Great catch. Picture #89 is of a different car. My apologies. Sorry for the delay in responding. I wanted to get the Cab back from the shop (compression test) to confirm that photo. I looked through my raw images, and that picture was at the end of that photo folder. That lets me know that I transferred one photo too many from the camera into the file folder. I have reviewed all the other images in this gallery, and it looks like picture 89 is the anomaly and can be disregarded.
The compression test results have been added to the photo gallery.

Picture 89 is definitely not of this car... have you mixed up any other pics?
@alhutch We have no historical service records. However, we performed an oil service and battery inspection on this cabriolet, and I added those records to the photo gallery. An independent compression test is scheduled for Monday, the 24th of June. I'll comment and add those results as well. The clutch feel is great, and the engine drives strong. Thanks to the oil cooler up front and the dry sump design, 964s have such a volume of oil in the system that these engines are very robust. Test results soon. Thanks for the question.
Do you have any service records/history or compression/leak down results for the motor?
Hello to all. Welcome. I'm available to field questions and requests throughout the auction. This manual C4 Cab is outstanding and will undoubtedly provide decades of joyful driving experiences.
