This 1990 Porsche 964 Carrera 2 Coupe is a Japanese-Market (RoW) example factory-equipped with a 5-speed G50 manual gearbox and a rare “slick top” sunroof delete. The car has been refinished in custom orange Chromaflair paint color and modified with a rear spoiler, an aftermarket front bumper, Recaro seats, and 18” three-piece wheels. Imported by the seller from Japan in 2024, this 964 is now being offered for auction out of Idaho with approximately 110k kilometers (68k miles) showing on the odometer.
This non-sunroof Coupe is said to have been dissembled with glass out and refinished in the current orange Chromaflair paint color with contrasting black headlight rings, a custom front bumper, and a matching Whale Tail rear spoiler. Other modifications include red brake calipers, updated Aero mirrors, and black 18” three-piece wheels dressed in Dunlop Direzza tires from 2017. The seller indicates the car’s factory paint color was Velvet Red Metallic and the exterior remains in good overall condition. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The Black partial leather interior has been customized with a pair of matching Recaro cloth bucket seats featuring classic fishnet headrests and contrasting two-tone grey centers. Other modifications include aftermarket stainless-steel door sills and pedal covers, a three-spoke leather-wrapped sport steering wheel, an aftermarket gear knob, a carbon fiber rear cup holder insert, an ignition lock surround cover, and a Panasonic GPS head unit. The car also came factory-equipped with power windows and mirrors, automatic climate control, cruise control, and a central locking system. All gauges and accessories are said to be fully functional.
Rated at 247 HP, the air-cooled 3.6-liter M64 flat-six engine sends power to the rear wheels through a 5-speed G50 manual transaxle. The seller indicates a collection of service records in Japanese is included with the car.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, an air pump, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This 964 is one of the most excellent examples we have imported from Japan. This was a full window-out paint job done to the highest standards. It drives as well as it looks. Turnkey ready to be enjoyed.”

Wheels look to be 3-piece stepped-lip Work Brombacher wheels. I'm not the hugest fan of the all-black look, but they are made in Japan and exceptional quality. For a period of time, Brombacher wheels were branded as FVD Brombacher through a licensing arrangement. Wish I had the $$ for this one. GLWA

Are those speakers and a GPS antenna mounted in the dash? Is the stereo bluetooth? Does the Japanese unit pair with US hardware? Any chance of posting the paperwork and mx records?
@Rungegator I love the color as well. It's even better in person. It has tons of depth and sparkle in direct sun, and it's even impressive in the shade or the showroom. The wheels are painted, and everything works, including cold AC. It's a driver and would encourage a drive to Pebble Beach from Idaho. I'm happy to store it for a month or so at no cost. I have added pictures of our inspection and the compression test that was done independently to the gallery. This 964 is surprisingly stock. The "Outlaw" look comes from the wheels, front bumper, paint, and whale tail. Aftermarket bits were added to a stock with low mileage at 964.
Hi. Interesting car. Love the color. Does everything work as it should? Electrical? A/C blow cold? Any leaks? Is there a run down of all aftermarket accessories? Are the wheels powder coated or painted? Im located on the other coast and would like to drive this car down for Pebble Beach in August. Would storage for a month be a problem? Thanks!
