The updated 944 S2 model was introduced in 1989, adding a new convertible top version to the model range and featuring a new 3.0-liter inline-four engine, revised suspension, and Turbo-style bodywork. This 1990 Porsche 944 S2 Cabriolet is one of only 2,402 examples sold in North America over a three-year production run. It comes finished in Black over a Linen leather interior and is equipped with a 5-speed manual transaxle. It was purchased by the seller several years ago and has been fitted with a replacement cabriolet top, new leather seats, and new custom-made carpeting. Showing approximately 47k miles on the odometer, this 944 S2 is now being offered for auction out of New Hampshire.
This 944 S2 is finished in Black with a replacement tan German canvas soft top installed under current ownership. Equipment includes pop-up headlamps, integrated fog lights, body side moldings, a body-colored rear diffuser, and chrome 16” Design 90 wheels. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report showing damage to the right side in 1993.
The Linen interior has been refurbished with new leather front seats and custom-made black carpeting. Accessories include a four-spoke black leather steering wheel, power windows and mirrors, automatic climate control, a digital clock, a Blaupunkt equalizer stereo, a 10-speaker sound system, and a Bluetooth audio module. The seller notes the rear speakers have been replaced and the original Linen carpeting is included in the sale.
Power comes from a 3.0-liter inline-four 16-valve DOHC engine. A 5-speed manual transaxle delivers up to 208 HP and 207 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels. Standard equipment includes independent suspension with front and rear stabilizer bars, power steering, and power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes with ABS. The seller indicates the timing belt was replaced at 37k miles.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, a tire inflator, a car cover, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Southern car, no rust, never driven in snow, new German convertible rag top, electric top operates as it should. Driven less than 1000 miles each summer since I have owned it. I drove it from Alabama through the Blue Ridge Mountains to New Hampshire, drove beautifully, no issues the entire trip!”

This one should go relatively cheap. To say the paint is a little rough would be an understatement. Glwta

@ride786 North Hollywood Speedometer checked all gauges and replaced bulbs in the instrument cluster.
@ride786 I don't have a lift, I will try to see if a local garage will put it on a lift tomorrow. Pictures of the undercarriage with an iphone is impossible...I did send the instrument cluster to be refurbished at a place in LA, to clean, fix lighting display and just general restoration. I can't remember the place that did it....I'll see what I can find for information (it was a while ago).

There is no evidence of any damage to the right side, as you can see in the pictures. Whatever minor damage occured it was repaired long before I boaught the car. Everything looks and operates as it should.
@PorschePhil It was a minor fender bender that occurred when previous owner had the car. I didn’t know it existed until I saw carfax…
